  • Not bad for the price
Color: Estate Black Pattern Name: Utility Cart/Stand
This is not the best quality furniture but isn’t bad for the price. For us, it’s held up sturdy for the office we have it in. Looks nice overall. Thankfully was packed well enough to not have damages in the shipping process. All parts were included in our box & the instruction were actually not too bad to follow. Not a bad deal if your looking for a decent piece of furniture. ... show more

  • Best to have a 2nd person help with assembly.
Color: Estate Black Pattern Name: Utility Cart/Stand
My order arrived without damage, but missing a couple of screws. The start and finish of the assembly was simple, but I got stuck in the middle because I was putting it together by myself and it constantly flexed/wobbled. The cabinet only became reasonably solid when I nailed on the cardboard backing and retightened the cams. It was also tricky to get the rails on the drawer to slide together. Make sure you have the drawer tilted dow ward and pressure it behind the cabinet rails. Also crucial to make sure you have all 4 rails in the correct position. I am using my cabinet for a small coffee bar. It looks expensive and holds a lot of items without taking up too much space. This is the 4th Saunder item I have put together and the instructions are good and all the tools you need are insluded. The quality is quite good for this type of MDF furniture. ... show more

  • Product quality is muddy
Color: Estate Black Pattern Name: Utility Cart/Stand
The two stars are because it did look nice and I have no complaints about the seller's price, shipping, etc. But I do about the quality of this thing. It was a nightmare to assemble and has not held up well. No parts missing, but they didn't actually fit together very well so way more elbow grease was needed than expected. I had to super glue the bottom of the drawer to keep it in place several times because it wouldn't stay in on its own and have resigned to just keeping only very light things that won't make it drop out in it, and anything I might frequently need I don't keep in it at all. I use this in a corner of an office, with a small inkjet printer sitting on top of it and supplies like ink, paper, spare folders and notebooks, etc. in the cabinet. I am not opening it maybe more than a couple times a week. The doors have gone crooked because I think a hinge is loose or somehow got more crooked. Would hate to see how this would have held up if I needed it more often. ... show more

  • 4.5 Stars to be exact
Color: Chalked Chestnut Pattern Name: Utility Cart/Stand
So, just to let you know, the parts are not all marked the same. some are marked with stickers indicating the the letter of the part, but the majority of parts seem to have the part number indented on it somewhere. Where, is for you to find. I uploaded a picture of the metal drawer rails to show where on that part you can find the correct part #. My pictures also show that this utility stand does not have the same depth as the matching computer desk, just in case that's important to you. Since this was my 2nd Sauder Chalked Chestnut piece, I was much more familiar the 2nd time around with how to adjust the drawer and doors. Once you learn how it can actually be done. I paid about 150 plus tax and it shipped from somewhere back east, so it took a good week to arrive to California. It would be nicer if it were a little less money, say, under 100 bucks, but that's life these days, I guess. Between the lower cost Chalked Chestnut |desk and this side table, I spent $450 and I'm not done yet. I would like one more matching piece. I don't know how it will stand the test of time, but for now I guess I've give 5 stars, but I wish they let us use 1/2 stars. I was a bit harsh on the review for the desk because, honestly, the process of putting it together was beginning to piss me off. Mainly, adjusting doors and drawers, but once you get the hang of it, life becomes easier. This also didn't take near as long to put together as the desk I bought. It does come nicely packed and secured in its package. ... show more

  • Nice Unit But ....
Color: Chalked Chestnut Pattern Name: Utility Cart/Stand
Instructions were clear, but I had a problem screwing in one of the feet. The pre-drilled hole was very tight, plus it wasn't drilled deep enough. I had a heckuva time with it. I had to re-drill the hole deep enough to accommodate the supplied pan-head screw. Still, the hole was too tight that the screw would not turn with a Phillips head manual screwdriver, so I ended up drilling the hole with a drill that was one-size larger (diameter). I ended up with the hole being too big. I had to purchase another (larger) pan head screw. The other problem is with the foot attachment itself. The hole is countersunk way, WAY too deep, requiring a very long screwdriver ( I have an electric drill with screwdriver attachments but they too, were not even close to being long enough to fit into the hole). It is very easy to strip the head of the screw of the pilot hole is too tight. It was a real pain. Also, this unit comes with a lot of parts. Nothing is pre-assembled. You have to virtually build it entirely from scratch. I am a senior citizen in reasonably good shape but this project gave me a real workout. However, once assembled, the unit look and functions great . But, would I purchase it again, given MY experience? No. ... show more

  • Sturdy cabinet for my printer and additional storage
Color: Estate Black Pattern Name: Utility Cart/Stand
First I want to say the color is not black. It is a very dark brown. If you want black you're going to have to go someplace else. With that being said it is a sizable unit. I was glad to find a unit that could fit my 15-in wide printer. And I have plenty of storage for other office supplies. As far as assembly is concerned that did take a little time. One person about 4 hours. A portion of that extended time was simply to get the doors on. Very awkward with the supplied hinges. But once the hinges are on it works fine. Probably the most frustrating part was the little feet. I had to go through multiple screwdrivers before I could find a screwdriver that would fit in the pre-drilled hole. And then the screw just would not turn. I don't know whether the hole was not drilled wide enough or what. But a trick my dad taught me a long time ago worked. A little soap will do wonders. All in all once it was done it will definitely do the trick. It just took a little while to get there ... show more
