I have a year long tree, so I needed something that wasn't Christmas-like for the base. I was really pleased with this! It's soft, pretty, and covers so nicely! It has held up well so far and I bought it a couple months ago. My granddaughter decorates at the bottom of the tree by changing up the village on the bottom of the tree, so it has things that go on the front of the skirt. It has held up beautifully. A little on the smaller side, but perfect for my studio apartment. Really great quality for the price. Took off 1 star because it smelled horrible when I opened the package. Smelled like chemicals and pee? Not sure why, but it survived the washer & dryer & looks great & the smell is gone
