Works great as a quality compact fitting hub for Mini 4 allowing access to Mini’s silly start control… not using the SSD capability . My second experience with Satechi products and building my trust in the name.

Satechi did an awesome job with this hub, it looks like it came with the Mac Mini, having USB-A ports on the front is great for anyone having legacy devices that need this style of port, instead of using adaptors. Keep in mind that the Mac Mini does not attach to the hub, it only sits on top of it, but I found that a little strip of Velcro keeps it from sliding around. I installed a NVMe SSD into the dock (1TB) for extra storage, and for Time Machine to seamlessly back up to. I think Satechi knocked it out of the park with this hub. I only gave it four stars because it arrived in an open box, I don't mind buying open box items, but it would of been nice to know this ahead of time, so essentially it was a used item and usually there is some kind of discount for open box items. Other than that I would highly recommend it, it really declutters your desk area, and adds a lot of functionality. Just buy it, you won't regret it!

Works perfectly with my Mac Mini. The ability to add storage capacity without paying Apple prices is a huge plus. Easy to set up and use. The additional ports provided have been very useful for a first time Mac user. Fits directly under the Mac Mini , and as a bonus the not too well placed Mac Mini on/off button is now easily accessed. If you want ot add one accessory to the Mac MIni, this is it!

Excellent docking station for the Mac mini. Has multiple ports which are very useful. The ability to install a solid state hard drive into the unit worked very well and is excellent. The only downside, is that it does not really lock onto the Mac mini so that when getting at the back on/off button for the Mac mini, the latter often slides off the docking station.

This product is exactly as advertised. I haven't added the SSD yet but will do so soon. Very well made and the on/off switch is easily accessible. That it was $20 cheaper on Amazon that most other listings helped make this an easy decision.

For some reason i experienced stuttering while using WD_Black 2TB NVM drive installed in this hub. My game would just drop frames and stutter every 30 seconds or so. So this made it unusable for me and returning the produt Ports are working good.
