GREAT PRODUCT, Highly recommend. The quality of this product is outstanding. The materials provided from the hardware, to the actual mounting brackets are all very high quality. The instructions provided are easy to follow and there is a video demo to walk you thru it all. I actually bought a different model Sanus from Costco and when I went to install it found out the studs over my fireplace were not the typical 16 inches on center. I ended up returning the product but frankly really liked the quality of their product. I called the customer service people and explained the dimensions I had to work with, the type of TV I had, and she was able to offer me a few options. I went with the vlt6-B1 as I wanted a tilt model and because the mounting brackets would work with my home. If the studs in your home are not 16 inches on center, this is the TV mount you want to purchase. It took me just over 1 hour with a friend to install. This mounting bracket is super strong. It says it is rated for up to 150 lbs, but I think that is a low ball figure. I liked how easy it was to mount the TV into the bracket and how you could hear it “Click” and lock into place. There is room to get your hands behind the TV to remove a HDMI cable and then push it back into position. The viewing angle was easy to adjust. Overall I would highly recommend not only this particular TV mount, but SANUS as a company as this product is well engineered and thought out. The price I felt was very good for the quality of this product at $136 it may be a little higher price than some, but well worth it. Update to review, I bought this 5 years ago in 2019 and it has worked exactly as promised. Today I needed to remove the TV I mounted to relocate it, it was convenient that SANUS had a FAQ section and I was able to back and review the instructions on how to remove the TV since I had tossed the instructions away after installation. Super easy install as long as you have the tools. Took me 20 minutes to set up and it was the first time I ever wall mounted a tv. Adjustability is perfect and you can level the TV after installation as well. Totally worth the money just for the ease of installation alone. I have a 100+ lb Panasonic 50" plasma TV that is almost 20 years old. The picture is still perfect, so I bought this mount to put it on a wall over a fireplace.     • Sturdy wall mount with outstanding instructions and easy click-on TV mounting
Highly recommended! I've installed 4 or 5 different TV wall mounts before, so I didn't need a ton of hand holding, but the instructions for this one exceeded my expectations and helped secure the biggest TV I've ever had to mount (65"). The install went pretty much as planned except I neglected to account for the existing power outlet that would be covered and had to drill holes twice to move the back plate over a little. I used Sanus's guide to figuring out how high to place the TV on the wall, which was nice and made figuring out where to drill easy. Installing the TV attachments and hanging the TV on the back plate was simple: it clicked on with no trouble and I was able to slide the TV over to center it since my wall studs weren't dead center of the TV watching area. I was able to tilt the TV down slightly for an ideal viewing angle to finish the job. ... show more

    • Sturdy and adjustable
I've used Sanus mounts in the past and they have always been great. This product is no exception. Clear installation instructions and all the hardware needed to install this mount with virtually any TV. Heavy duty lag bolts are included to ensure this mount can hold the weight of larger TVs too. The provided wall template helps makes drilling holes in wall, through to the studs, is easy and accurate. I drilled a smaller pilot hole with the template taped to the wall (using blue painters tape), then removed the template to drill the required size hole before using the lag bolts to secure the mount to the wall. Once the bracket is installed on the TV and the wall plate secured to the wall, lifting the TV into place requires two people, but it's very easy to drop the TV into place. The sturdy metal holds the TV nicely while you secure the backplate to the wall plate with an additional screw, as added insurance. The tilt adjustment holds in place nicely and the mount movement is fluid, but still solid enough to stay where you want it. ... show more

    • Solid low profile mount with quick access for maintenance
I bought a 85 inch Sony TV and I didn't need to swivel from right to left. I had a lot of choices to go with for mounting my tv, but I ended up going with the Sanus because it had a number of features that I knew would help for maintenance on the tv. An 85 inch tv is heavy so you really want to get it up and be done with it, but you will have to from time to time need to get behind it or maybe even remove it. I ended up having to do both and I was glad I went with this unit when that happened. First off the unit pushes up against the wall, but it can also push out and still hold the tv. Currently I am using it in a pushed out configuration due to having an small stand behind it ( its holding my equipment till I can make a floor unit from oak) The unit comes with some a nice template that you can use to put on your wall and plan your install. Finding a stud to attach to is pretty simple, especially since there is a large area of play you can work with to find and center up the tv once its installed. The quick release cords tuck up into the mount , but when you need to remove the tv from the wall, they make the task much simpler to deal with. Pros : 1. Solid Construction 2. Simple design that allows easy access to studs 3. Quick release cords are a life saver 4. Mounts close to wall, but can be pulled out for access to back. 5.     • Easy install, easy adjustment
The mount really was very easy to install. The website includes a calculator that is supposed to help find install heights, but it didn't work well for my TV even though the model was listed on the site. However, the step-by-step instructions were easy to follow, and the included template made it simple to locate the rack on the wall. Hanging the TV was so easy I had to double-check to make sure everything really did lock in the way it was supposed to--one click and everything was good to go! My 55" TV weighs 30-40 pounds, but it's super easy to slide it away from the wall to access the back panel for power & AV hookups, and it stays put after adjusting the tilt. ... show more

    • Good mount with great documentation
I used this mount with an 85” Samsung QN90b tv. I’m pleased with the results. First, the good. The stand itself seems to be well built and handles the weight of my 85” reasonably well. Their documentation really set this mount apart for me. First, I came with a nice wall template. Second, the written instructions were excellent. And thirdly and most important to me - they have an online tool that helped me calculate the exact distance from the floor to the holes on the mount. And that tool is very well done and easy to work with. It was game changer for me, taking a lot of the guesswork out of the installation. If there is a downside, I wish the wall bracket was a bit wider to I had the ability to span it across 3 studs, thus giving me more ability to move the tv farther left/right on the bracket. With the way my room is set up, I hard to slide the tv as far right as possible on the wall bracket, and you can see that the bracket is pulling away from the wall / flexing a bit. I thought the lag bolt might be pulling out so I took the tv off the wall, but that wasn’t the case - the bracket is simply flexing a bit. I have zero concern about the bracket breaking, just wish they’d made it longer. Maybe they didn’t so it’d work with smaller tvs too, not sure. Also noteworthy and something you don’t get with other manufacturers, they provided a lot of bolt sizes, washers and spacers for the brackets that attach to the tv. That’s awesome as on other mounts I found myself at the hardware store buying random bolt lengths to try and find the right size.
