I purchased a Samsung 75" 70QR flat screen TV and needed a sturdy mount for the wall. I choose this mount for the ease of installation, the sturdy design, and the compact design. It came with a wall template, so once you locate your studs (needs to be mounted to studs for full weight support), the template made it easy. Drill your pilot holes, use the screws supply and mount the frame to the wall. The other TV mount portion is well made and using the supplied adapters, it is fool proof. The TV hangs on the wall frame and latches securely in place. The nice thing is you can slide the TV left or right to get it centered in the room. It also has leveling screws so that one in place, it. is a simple matter to level the tv. Sanus has a program on their website that allows you to enter in the viewing height desired, the model of mount, and it will generate the exact placement of the holes for the mount. This was dead on accurate. Quality mount, providing almost a flash fit to the wall. Very impressed with this mount.

This wall mount is easy to install and looks clean when up on the wall. They give you a level and magnetic stud finder tool in the box. This did not work for me because my walls are a type of plaster that looks like it is on top of drywall but it is a nice touch. You get hardware for mounting in most standard installations but depending on your situation you might need to run to the hardware store. I used a self leveling laser to project where I wanted the mounting holes drilled. I just held the mount on the wall so the laser was centered through the mounting slots and marked where I wanted the holes. I wasn't going to hit studs in the wall where I wanted the mount centered so I used Snaptoggles to anchor the mount to the wall. Once on the wall I held it as close to level as I could and tightened up the Snaptoggles. I then attached the brackets to the TV. The release pull strings did hang pretty low even after adjustment and I didn't really want to cut them up so I attached them to the back of the TV. I used self adhesive Velcro strips cut to size being sure to leave enough play for tilting the TV but still staying hidden. After hanging the TV I discovered that when I tightened the wall mount onto the Snaptoggles the play in the bolts through the mount slots allowed the mount to move ever so slightly off from being perfectly level. This is where the post mounting level adjustment came into play. Just a couple turns of a screwdriver and the TV was perfectly level. Overall I found this mount to be excellent and would recommend it.

I selected this mount after looking at reviews for it and some less expensive alternatives. Overall, I am very pleased with the mount. The bracket is a single piece and feels very sturdy and the tilt mechanism works well. From reading reviews, I knew that the bolts might be a problem. For me, I mounted a 60" Vizio LED TV and its specs called for 12mm bolts. The provided M6 bolts with the extra spacers actually hit 12mm on the button when placed through the bracket. In fact, I actually mounted the TV with the provided bolts as a starting point. Ultimately, however, I decided I wanted the TV to be a little more flush to the wall, as the spacers add about an extra inch. So I purchased some 16mm M6 bolts and #10 washers and mounted the TV with my own bolts and a couple washers. The TV sits a little closer to the wall (but still far enough to comfortably plug in the power and HDMI cables). Probably the only other suggestion for improvement is that sliding the TV left to right is not easy when the TV is latched to the bracket. It can be done, but it vibrates the bracket and hits a lot of resistance. So if possible I recommend centering the TV as much as possible before you actually latch the bottom of the brackets. All in all, I recommend this bracket as it feels very sturdy, is very easy to install, and provides both centering and tilt options for the TV while it is on the wall. You may end up wanting to use your own bolts as I did, but this is a quick trip to your HW store. And in some cases the spacers might actually be better if you need the extra clearance or have a curved back in your TV.

The mount worked great for Panasonic Viera TC-P55VT50 TV. It is solid and tilting angle is just right for where we have it mounted vs our seating positions (YMMV). It is easy to take the TV off the mount and side-to-side slide makes it easy to adjust. It has been 2 years and now I am getting a new 65-inch TV and the mount will work with the new TV. However, I am missing extra hardware and spacers which I thought I saved so it looked like I would have to buy a new mount or see if Sanus can sell the hardware kit. When I called Sanus, support agent answered the call almost right away and agreed to ship the kit out at no charge. I like the mount but want to also point out Sanus taking care of its customers, 2 years after the purchase.

Credentials: DIYer who's mounted about 10 TVs now. My first Sanus mount. WELL worth the extra money. Build quality is superb with exception attention to detail. The back bracket itself is sexy, with a clever way to conceal the [wall] mounting hardware. Post hanging leveling is fantastic. For larger TVs that require 6"+ of horizontal off-centering (due to the stud placement and desired TV placement), having a unibody wall bracket is critical to ensuring a level platform for hanging the TV. I've had various, cheaper mounts that require assembly (multiple pieces) and the result is always a not perfectly flat (or level) base for hanging a TV. Minor complaints: - For larger TVs (say 70" and higher) it is difficult to access the tilt tension adjustment knobs and leveling screws (depending on TV mounting pattern and position). - Outlet plate clearance: if the wall plate is immediately above an outlet and the desired tv placement dictates one of the hangers to be directly over the place, the hander *WILL* come in contact with the plate. This causes a slight yaw on the TV, also complicating leveling.

I was not about to hang my brand spanking new LG 65 inch OLED TV on a cheap mount. Nope, I need to sleep at night. So, I paid a few extra bucks and got this Sanus. Installing it was pretty straight forward. If you don't already have a stud finder they include a nifty little magnetic stud finder in the package. The idea is that it will find the nails or screws that were used to hang your drywall, it then has a little pin that helps you find the ends of the studs. I have a stud finder so I didn't rely on it but it was fun to play with and it was just as accurate as my stud finder. Oh, the little stud finder also has a level built into it. Nice touch Sanus. What I did for installation was to install the brackets on the back of the TV, then measure from the bottom of the TV to the inside of the upper bracket. That told me where the top of the wall mount needed to be. I laid up the included template, measured everything about 10 times and marked for my holes. I was able to attach the mount to two studs which was plenty for this TV. I drilled pilot holes (the bit is not included) and used a ratchet wrench to drive the bolts into the holes. That was the hard part. After installing the mount my wife helped me lift the TV onto the mount and, boom, we were done. Well, almost. Someone (that could be me but the jury is still out on this one) must have mismeasured - I only measured 10 times, number 11 would have been the charm. Anyway, the TV tilted about 1 inch to the right. Fortunately the Sanus has a screw on each side that lets you adjust for that error (apparently I'm not the only idiot who has done this). Had the leveling problem fixed before my wife ever noticed it. A bit pricey, but well made and I think worth the money.

I purchased this unit because of how clean and simple it looked. This can easily be seen from the side when entering our home, so looks mattered. I had a bit of a challenge with the install, but that was because I had to drill through porcelain tile to mount the unit. So it was the tile's fault, not the mount. Once I had my holes drilled it was very easy to place the tv on the mount. The positive click you hear is very helpful when you are holding a large tv and can not see around it. It was also very easy to level the TV once it was mounted.

This is far and away the best mount option for installing flat panel TV's on the wall. This is such a simple and effective design. If installing onto brick i'd recommend the Bosch Daredevil Carbide 3/8" bits for masonry. I did use a smaller bit to start though given that brick is really fragile. I drilled the 3" deep holes first with the smaller bit and then with the 3/8" Just go slow and steady and let the bit do the work. The inclusion of the magnetic level is ingenious!!! Also if you don't get the position perfectly in the middle of the fireplace the mount's track allows you to push the TV a little to one or the other side. I've installed a couple of the other mount brands and this one is by far the best!
