  • A great single stud full motion mount
Mounting a 32” tv in a corner
Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2022 by Wayne M.

  • Not a lightweight! Easy to use and very stable.
I've bought quite a few other Sanus products (entertainment equipment shelving units) and have always been pleased with the quality and features, so figured I'd try this mount. I'm not disappointed. I was wary about some of the inexpensive TV mounts made of very light materials. They didn't look like they would last very long moving the TV around. This unit is very solid, and allows excellent range of motion so that the TV can be positioned for all of the viewing that we do. If it fails at some point in the future in a way that I feel it shouldn't have, I'll update this review. ... show more

  • Great range of motion and nice ability to tilt down
Is ideal for our 32" TV in our bedroom. We put the TV up about 5ft on the wall and it tilts enough to view the TV perfectly.

  • Installation is NOT so easy
It's a very nice mount, AFTER you complete the installation. The problems comes with the mounting screws and drilling the holes in the wall. SCREWS For a Samsung QN32Q50, the short 12mm M4 screws are wayyy too short. The 35mm M4 screws are wayyy too long. If you use the provided spacers with the 35mm M4 screws, they are again wayyy too short. You have to run to a hardware store and buy 20mm M4 screws. That was delay #1, a trip to Lowes/HD, but they DO carry that size screw. It would have been nice to include plastic spacers that could be trimmed to be shorter... DRILLING HOLES Two issues. FIRST the Height Finder online app (a good idea BTW) assumes that you will center the mounting plate on your TV's mounting holes, regardless of where they are. If you do that on the QN32Q50 (a 100x100 VESA pattern), the mounting plate sticks above the TV (ugh!). If you use the offset mounting holes, the TV will be mounted 2 3/8" higher than you want IF you follow the Height Finder instructions. I manually figured out the mounting height to avoid that problem SECOND, on page 2 the installation instructions say to use 1/8" drill bit (single stud wood install). Check, I got that. So you start drilling and notice the lag screws are much longer than your standard drill bit. Then you look very carefully at illustration #5 on page 6 and notice in small print a hole depth of 2 3/4" is required. Did SANUS tell you this before you started installation, on page 2? No, they did not. Standard 1/8" drill bits only do about 1 3/4" depth. So to follow the SANUS' instructions, you have to buy/order a 1/8" diameter 6" shank drill bit, about another $2.50-$3.50 and wait for that to show up (my Lowes & HD don't carry these). If you don't get the right bit, you may very well strip the heads off those lag screws OR cause the lag screw shaft to shear off inside your not-deep-enough hole. Since I don't want to take those chances, that's DELAY #2, a two day wait for a drill bit. For the premium price SANUS charges, they should include that unusual $2.50 drill bit (and It wouldn't cost them $2.50 either, prolly way less than $1). And no, I didn't check out the concrete installation instructions or the bit lengths required. ... show more
