Plain and simple, this is a nice kit for the money, but also has some room for improvement. Here's the skinny: I bought this kit for use with a large golf cart repair for a customer last month. The entire chassis had to be rewired, and we upgraded the main power cables to and from his Li-Ion battery pack. 1) The crimper is a BEAST, but as others have stated, the numbers on the rotating jaws are almost worthless. You'll ultimately have to rotate them and make an educated [visual] guess on which size opening to use for your particular wire gauge. Once you rotate them to the ideal size, you leave them there and crimp away your problems. 2) I like the curvy pliers (for the right applications). I hadn't even thought about needing curvy pliers - I started off just searching for a crimper tool. Then I realized that traditional straight-edge tin snips won't produce clean results on larger cables (~6 gauge and larger). These are sharp enough that they can handle 0-1AWG cabling, should you need them for it. 3) Including copper terminal ends in various sizes was also nice. If you're buying a crimper tool, you'll be needing some of those anyway. 4) Longevity: undetermined. I take excellent care of my tools, and this will be one of those specialty items I only use 2-3x a year, so as long as the tools are made well, I anticipate 5-7 years out of them. Maybe more if I'm lucky. That's about it. Let me know if this review helped you in your search/research. 🍻 ✌️

I'm wiring in some LED bars and a new Amp into my truck. I needed to make some power and ground cables to run from the battery. My smaller hand crimper was not up to the task and I found this package. The crimper has a lot of leverage and can easily crimp the heavy duty lugs I purchased separately. It can handle different size lugs by ratcheting to the correct size on the tip of the crimper. This made my job a lot easier and the price was right. The cutter works great on large gauge wires without too much difficulty but the crimping tool is a bit small for the larger wire ends. Maybe extending the handle six more inches will fix that problem.

Quick shipment good price, like the lug assortment and included heat shrink, however you have to be cautious when crimping and rotate the parts if you want to go and get it to crimp properly versus leaving a flange. No real directions so you have to learn on your own. Other than that I'd still recommend
