Ordered this in my usual size small-I’m 5’8 125 athletic build-and it was a bit tight in the shoulders/arms, and a touch short in the sleeves. I really can’t utilize the thumbs holes with the sleeves a bit short. It’s not as cooling as some other UPF outerwear that I’ve bought. Those have a silky, slipperier fabric which doesn’t seem to hold the heat like this one does. I may exchange for a medium to have a bit more room. I live in the desert southwest at 5400 feet elevation, so the sun is strong here. I was excited to see this shirt, and XL was the recommended size for me given past order history. When wearing it as an open-front shirt, it's a bit big, but if you button it it's about right. The button + loops are pretty small, so would be a bit difficult to use if you are lacking in manual dexterity. But it is very comfortable, and seems to be doing a good job of keeping the sun off my skin (we'll see what the dermatologist says next month!). Also, I am short and have short arms so I do have to roll them up; the thumb holes are nice, but kind of obsolete for me because of this. ... show more

Living in the hot southwest, I am always looking for a lightweight cardigan to wear over my sleeveless tunics. Wearing plus sized clothing I was attracted to this Lightweight Cardigan by SANTINY for a couple of reasons: the cardigan is UPF50+ and Santiny offers plus sizing. I was relieved that this waterfall style cardigan actually fit as it does run a bit small. I won't want to use button up option nor will I use the pockets. I do like the UPF 50+ sun protection but would not wear it as a swim cover up. I think it is attractive enough to wear over a sleeveless tunic in cold air conditioning. The Santiny cardigan is a great travel piece, made of a combination of 75% POLYAMIDE and 25% ELASTAN, the fabric is soft, breathable, lightweight, dries quickly, and doesn't wrinkle. This is an easy care garment; simply machine was cold and briefly tumble dry low. I can give the Santiny cardigan an easy 5 star rating for versatility and attractiveness. ... show more

Fabric is thin, very cool with a nice skin feel. Flattering to boot. It’s not the deep black I typically like, and it has a slight shine to it, but as long as you don’t pair it with other blacks you’re good to go.
