I recently saw a family member with an 85 inch TV and I was hooked. I never jumped on the 4K bandwagon and had a plasma that was 4-5 years old (no smart TV, no 4K). I figured this was a good time to jump in. I saw the LG 86" TV for about 2,200 on a few websites, but there were almost no reviews anywhere on the product which spooked me. I have always owned Samsung so I trusted it when I saw the Q60. Unfortunately, it was just outside my price range at $2800. Enter the open box boys at Video & Audio Center who are general the cheapest offering when you click on "USED - LIKE NEW". First, The VIDEO and AUDIO Center in California was incredibly professional. Communicated from the time I made the purchase and helped me with a very unorganized shipping company (the delivery driver, incredible - the shipping company itself, incompetent). It was projected to arrive August 12 and it arrived the 16th. Nevertheless, hard to beat free shipping from California to the East Coast with a 130 lb package. The 80" model is heavy as all get out. The only issue I might have had with this "USED - LIKE NEW" pitch from the seller is they are clearly a Samsung authorized dealer so they must be pushing out dozens and dozens of these (I see they still have more right now). The rear of my TV had a 4 inch GASH in the plastic. No one will ever see it. It didnt bother me at all. However, I would recommend that the seller perhaps take a more individual approach to each specific package. They are selling this as a "OPEN BOX - LIKE NEW". Clearly, someone tried to mount this... failed when they realized it was too heavy and caused a gash near the mounting hole. Again, I would have STILL bought this at a 700 dollar discount for something no one would ever see, but it wouldve been nice to know. The shipping driver who was incredibly helpful felt bad because he thought they might have caused it when clearly this was an old issue - just be forewarned if you are buying from Amazon's "USED & NEW" tab. The TV itself is breathtaking. If you can squeeze out the extra cash for this over a 65-75 inch, DO IT. Obviously, my old plasma had a much higher refresh rate, but the sheer size of this is insanity. Also ensure you have 12-15+ feet of space to distance yourself from the TV. I am about at 12 feet and the size is perfect, but I can see if I were to watch a fast motion paced game or movie, my eyes may not be able to handle it quite as long. It is literally like sitting in a theater (the good and bad that comes out of that). The TV is hooked to a 5.2 system so I cannot really comment much on its speakers, but the few times I had to turn of the A/V equipment, the TVs standard speakers werent terrible if you need to keep the volume reasonable. Again, this TV is heavy. You will not be able to mount alone. You will not be able to remove from the box alone. You will probably not even be able to carry the TV if the person you are with isn't strong enough to lift 50 lbs themselves comfortably. This was VERY heavy. We ended up buying a gigantic and heavy mount that we paid Amazon to mount for us just so we didnt have to deal with this ever again. I have seen some comments complain about clouding. We've only had it a week so hopefully that never arises, but as of now it looks wonderful. ... show more

We needed a Tv that would fit in a 44 inch opening because we have no place to put a large screen Tv set and momma doesn't want to give up her corner ceiling high entertainment center. The ONLY make that offered a 43 inch high HIGH QUALITY set that would fit was Samsung. Short of buying a Samsung or LG 55 inch OLED which have the most amazing picture quality, the next best unit was the smallest QLED Tv made. We don't use the SMART Tv. features because we have limited internet data so our focus was picture quality. This amazing 4K Tv gives a bright picture, excellent blacks, judder free motion and realistic skin tone quality. It boots up fast and changes channels faster than most I have owned. Viewing from the side surprisingly doesn't cause fade as much as others I looked at in stores. The stock speakers sound tinny as they do on most sets with 10w thin speakers so I opted for a Samsung sound bar with the bluetooth woofer. It made a H U G E difference in our viewing. I strongly recommend getting a sound bar. And when momma is happy, the family is happy! And momma is loving this Samsung QLED Tv. ... show more

I thought, if I'm gonna upgrade finally from my 37" Samsung, then I'm going big. 82" is monstrous. It's monstrous in the store, it's even bigger in your home, but is the picture great! Live action NHL hockey is as clear as the TV service I have. XBox games are immersive. Avengers: Endgame is vivid. Now the meager, albeit, negatives... 1 person CAN NOT move this. 109 lbs is not particularly heavy (especially since I used to warehouse 36" flat screen tube TVs weighing in at 240lbs), but 109lbs and the size of this beast demand any movement be a cakewalk of a 2-person job. Next, the menus and the remote that navigates between them... it looks cool? The remote is so slim and streamlined and small that i know i'll need a hunting dog and an ouija board to find it one day. The menus may just need time to get familiarized with, but they're a bit clunky in my opinion. Finally, I've been told by people that I've shown it off to since unpacking it... that it's too damn big. (think that's just jealousy) All in all, I'm enjoying this immensely and if anything really positive/negative comes up, i'll amend the review ... show more

I replaced a bedroom 32 inch Samsung with this bad boy and could not be happier. This is the first TV I purchased from Amazon and could not be more pleased. The shipment came quickly with no damage whatsoever with the box. The 43 inch was perfect and looks perfect! I do a good deal of streaming from Roku and Apple TV and the upscaling is excellent, providing a very clear and sharp image. The one quirk with this TV is that it uses HDMI port 4 as the audio pass through port if you are connecting the to an AV receiver that you use to connect all your devices. I never used an optical cable on my prior setup for audio from the TV. When I first setup the TV, I was surprised to see that I could not hear audio when I used HDMI port 1. It was only after pouring through the manual that I saw I needed to use port 4 for audio pass through. Also, another quirk is that you cannot disable the Anynet+ option and continue using an AV receiver. Once i turned it off, the TV no longer recognized the AV receiver was connected. I had to leave it on to achieve full functionality. The Bixby voice assistant is nice, but I do not use it much - if at all. Lastly, and this came from a sales person who was actually quite honest when I was shopping for this unit who told me that of all the sets out there, the Samsung's have the brightest image and that is totally true. The LG OLED TV's may have the deepest blacks, but a Samsung will always have the brightest and purest white colors out there. I would definitely buy this TV again! ... show more
