Even with the guide tools provided, it's tricky to get this installed correctly. But so far, after trying a few different screen protectors that were marketed as being compatible with the under-display fingerprint reader, this is the only one that actually is compatible.

I am actually surprised. The fingerprint sensor works great! I didn't even have to re-scan my fingerprints nor adjust how hard I have to press to unlock my phone. Additionally, this is the first screen I've owned that doesn't feel film-like. Easy to install. Just watch the video on Smaung's website and you'll be fine! ... show more

    • Pricey, unusual installation, works okay
Why does this screen protector have a notch instead of a punch hole when it's designed by Samsung, who presumably knows what their own phone looks like? Probably because the installation is so imprecise that it gives you a better chance of at least partially aligning the notch with the camera. The installation guide is only on the bottom half of the phone because you adhere the middle first, then the top half and push out all the bubbles, then move on to adhere the bottom half. I messed up the alignment enough the first time that I'm already using the second screen protector in the box. It's been quite a while since I've worked with a screen protector that's so finicky to install. Once it's on, the film is thin enough that the notch isn't that noticeable, even with a bright color underneath (like the aqua of the Amazon app right now). The finish is smooth - not quite as nice as glass, but less drag than other plastic screen protectors I've tried. Probably most importantly, the fingerprint reader seems to be just as fast and accurate as with no screen protector installed. Much nicer experience than when I tried a tempered glass screen protector with this phone. ... show more
