I’ve had dennon, pioneer, onkyo and other discrete systems before, connected to good speakers, and this Samsung QN990B is as good or better than all of those. It has the best combination of sound and power I’ve ever had and by far the cleanest and easiest setup. I’ve had it for 6 weeks in a room that is 40’x60’ with 20’ ceilings and it will fill the room with power to spare. I was skeptical that a sound bar could match a component system but this one excels. The sound system was damaged in transit - I took photos before I opened the package and of the bent part. I let the vender know and forwarded photos. The representative let me know that a label would be emailed out for a free return. They then asked if I wanted a refund or a replacement sent out. I wanted a replacement. I would highly recommend this sound system and I would do business if this vender comes up again. ... show more

    • Samsung is going down hill quick. I was warned by the audiophile reddits.
Excellent quality. Beyond belief. Not inexpensive 1500$ unit. The problem your going to have is that it decides to stop working 2 months after IT’s ONE year warranty runs out. Then you’ll have to box this monster up while paying 200$ for UPS and pack it up hooping it won’t get broken even more upon shipping. It’s loud and heavy but obviously it’s not durable. When Samsung gets it they they will send you an email telling you it will be 4 days by text to evaluate it for possible repair. After waiting 8 days they will send you a text telling you that’s NOT being repaired and being returned UN repaired!! No one will be able to tell you why. Or what’s wrong with it. Some customer representatives I spoke with several, will say that you didn’t have a card on file. Even though they send you a link to enter your credit card and send you a verification text message that your credit card was received . When you ask them to please repair it and not send it back unprepared, because the text message say’s prepared for shipping. Not…”shipped”, they say no. It’s too late. Although it hasn’t left the repair facility. So now you’ll have to pay again hope it doesn’t get damaged by UPS and wait another 2 months best case scenario! The damn thing only lasted 13 months to begin with. And this is a 1500$ sound system. Not some low end garbage. I was shocked about this buisness practice until I read the “Reddit” forums. It seems like this is how Samsung is operating now. I’m looking at other options now like sonos. Which me luck. Whoever is running the quality control and repair/customer service. Needs replaced. They can only get by on the reputation for a little while before the word gets out quick. The message board from audiophiles are very disappointed with their decline. Good news we have other options.     • Awesome Sound Better than Expected
I had an old Bose wired surround system that was 15 yrs. old and decided to upgrade to wireless though I loved the Bose sound. I was more than pleasantly surprised that the sound quality of this system was as good if not better than my Bose. With the Atmos support and speaker channels, it fills my living room with surround sound better than my Bose ever did, and I can hear dialog much better as well. I like to watch movies with the sound volume cranked up and its a movie theater type experience. Also excellent as my audio system for music as well. ... show more

I purchased this in August of 2023, but because I work 2 jobs, today was the the first time I had time to finally set it up. Speakers and soundbar sound fantastic. Subwoofer has to be broken because there is barely any sound/bass coming from it. Most, if not all of the bass is coming from the soundbar itself. Really disappointed. Linked all speakers twice. Turned subwoofer level to +6 with no change in sound. I know I am way past the point of returning it. Be careful with “refurbished” I guess… ... show more

I'm very impressed with this system. It came in the original box and was very well protected. I updated an old Pioneer unit from 2005 and am blown away by the difference. I primarily use the SmartThings app with little to no issues. The placement of the speakers is very important and minor changes can drastically change the sound especially the bass. My router sits behind my TV and I've had zero problems with any connectivity issues. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend! ... show more

I did a whole lot of research before I made this purchase, when your going to spend this kind of money you wanna make sure that you’re getting the best quality for the buck. I was so tempted to spend $3000. on my Soundsystem. In doing my research this product was compared to the more expensive ones and in some cases, even highly recommended over them.
