I use T-Mobile for pleasure and business. Often I misplace the cell causing temporary grief and the opportunity of trying our various brands of GSM cells. GSM cells use sims whereas (generally) CDMA carriers like Verizon use a keyboard activation or can the user can even do it themselves. There are two things to do when you purchase a GSM cell from Amazon to get it to work with your carrier. First, you need a blank sim card from the carrier, and then have it activated to the network. The Samsung A-11 is an excellent cell. It is sensitive, has a large screen, and offers some great apps on its "store." Samsung and Apple engage in periodical mutual complaints about one borrowing ideas from the other. If the A-11 was white you would probably think it was an iPhone. One important consideration is that this A-11 has a dual Sim capacity. That means you could use it with two different lines. I only use one sim and leave the other space vacant. The display is very clear and the rear camera has three lense. It comes at a great price and has proven itself to be durable. Basically, the way to purchase a replacement cell is to look at the good brands and then compare specifications The A-11 is quadcore with a fast processor and that's quite good. Also, the A-11 has a micro C USB port. One frustration I've seen is that a micro USB port eventually becomes lose after inserting a charging plug multiple times, but the micro C is designed to be more durable and offers faster charging. Of course, always try to get not just an unlocked replacement cell, but a cell that is specifically designated for a carrier. The Samsung A-11 is a great replacement cellphone. ... show more

I am a senior. I don't work well with cell phones. I want one that is forthright. I want to make calls, texts, and take an occasional picture. I don't find this phone easy to use. I find it requires to much sophistication, too many screens, signing in and signing out. I am not worried about security. I don't care if someone hacks my "coffee ministry" calls or emails. I don't bank, order, or make transactions on the phone. If you like me, you are a cell-avese senior, look elsewhere for a phone. ... show more

I got this phone about a month ago and I love it!! I replaced an LG Aristo 3+ and this phone definitely tops it! I have always been loyal to LG but I was sick of getting phones that were slow and break easily. I think I am going to stick with Samsung for now on. The only cons I have with this phone is there is no NFC feature, no wireless charging, and for some reason I cannot view or connect (never mind connect, they just don't show up in the list to try to connect) to Xfinity Wifi hotspots in the wifi settings! AT&T users please be aware, this phone will NOT work with AT&T's new 5G system being launched in February 2022. As an unlocked phone, voice is 3G and will not work on a 5G network. Data will will work. Before purchasing this phone I asked whether it would work with ATT&T's forthcoming system. I was told by the seller that it would. This came w/Spanish language preset, but the language switch is on the very start - easy enough to switch to English. It keeps automatically turning off the wi-fi after no use, but is easy enough to re-connect. BRIGHT LED screen & truer to irl color than my LG (which had stopped making calls + the camera was often blurry & bright pinks turned into muted purples). The Galaxy camera is SO much brighter & the video quality is top notch. I haven't played w/all the camera settings yet.. The layout is much different than my LG (or ZTE) & isn't as easy to navigate nor can you personalize it as much. Seems pretty sturdy, but I'm not too careless with electronics. ... show more

First off I bought this phone last month these are my taughts: which are no fault of the seller Cons 1. The phones does freeze at times 2. It suddenly does it's own thing without you even touching it 3. For some strange reason when ever I am on a call I hear a weird ping sound like something is active in the background and these are not notification sounds I have check the phone. Pros 1. Cute phone, nice shade of blue. I had a momentary freak out when I first opened the box and saw the included documentation was en Espanol. Cue the second guessing in my head. "Oh my god, did I make a mistake buying this? What if everything is in Spanish???" To be clear, it is a GSM phone that works perfectly fine in the Americas, so when you turn the unit on, switch the language to English if you don't speak or read Spanish.
