  • Great Picture
Size: 55-Inch Style: TV Only
Excellent picture Quality. The neo-QLED is superior to the OLED TV that it replaced. Four HDMI ports are nice. Solar charged remote is nice. Controls are intuitive and work well. Good price for a TV with so many advanced features.

I just received this TV yesterday. I'm a loyal Samsung user so I knew I would be getting a quality product. It was easy to assemble and easy to set up. The picture is beautiful, sleek and vibrant. You won't regret getting one for yourself. Two thumbs up!! 👍👍

  • Excellent mid tier TV
Size: 75-Inch Style: TV Only
Context: Bought the 75 inch variant of the QN70F to replace a 12 year old Samsung 60" 1080P. Placed in a very bright family room. Display: Coming from a 1080p pre OLED, QLED, NEO QLED era display, the brightness and contrast of this TV is far superior. This is edge lit but to be honest from my viewing distance I couldn't tell the difference from my mom's LG 4K OLED. My family room is very bright with a lot of windows, and everything is bright/vibrant, there is minimal reflection and glare. Sound: I paired this with the Samsung Q800D soundbar with QSymphony (EARC/HDMI) and the audio is amazing. Obviously I don't know how much of it is the TV and how much the soundbar, all I know is on my old TV/Vizio(soundbar) I'd have to crank it to 50% to hear conversations in some movies but I barely have to get close to 20% on the new tv/soundbar. Input: Meh. There are only 4 HDMIs inputs. One of those is taken by EARC if you use it. Three remaining so if you have a few gaming stations, media pc, roku or whatever you'll need to swap them around. Build Quality: The TV itself seems well put together. For how thin it is, it is not light. IMO anything bigger than a 55" I'd personally mount on the wall with a heavy duty wall mount because the feet with this unit are laughably cheap and wobbly. UX: Never cared for any smart tv interface, so to me this is a wash. For what its worth, controls and responsiveness are acceptable. The smart things phone pairing failed a few times, but I don't know if that is because WIFI in my house is just so so. Value: I'm not sure. You can probably pickup a non NEO QLED that is backlit, from last year or so and get it for a few hundred less. This will largely be based on your budget. I didn't want to spend more than 2K on a tv so to me I think this is a good entry/mid tier level tv. Again, for me, coming from a 12 year old 60" LED Samsung...this TV is light years above that in every way. Between the brightness of my family room and my viewing distance (very far)...8K resolution, super dark blacks and extreme contrast of an OLED, has a diminishing rate of return on investment. So this TV fit the bill for me. *one thing of note* I skipped a ton of the setup and didn't do the software update. Don't do that! The TV had a bunch of issues ranging from dropped input connectivity to failure to upscale without updating the software. After I did that, no issues. ... show more

  • Amazing picture quality, sound, and functionality
Size: 55-Inch Style: TV Only
This Samsung 55-Inch Samsung NEO QLED tv replaced the 32-Inch LED TV that was in my bedroom. My old eyes were looking forward to the larger picture. However, when I got everything set up I was absolutely blown away by the viewing experience and realized what I've been missing all this time. What is QLED? It's a combination of two technologies: Mini LED and Quantum Dots. The mini LED TVs have thousands of tiny lights in their back panel that provide very precise brightness control for excellent contrast and fine detail. Quantum Dots are a special film layer of nanocrystals that amplify color to make it more vibrant. The result is a very quality picture with exceptionally rich color. Viewing the 4K picture with the QLED technology for the first time was a bit surreal. The picture looked differently than anything I've previously seen. Every small detail was exceptionally clear, almost to the point of me asking "is this for real?". The Samsung NEO QLED 55-Inch TV arrived well-packed with all the necessary accessories (remote, power cord, quick start guide, etc). A full manual (~261 pages) is available on Samsung's website for those who wish to delve deeper into the setup. The 3-piece stand attaches easily and the TV came with a protective film on the screen to ensure there'd be no damage during the installation process. My only concern about the install process is that when using the included stand the screen has a slight back tilt, and it doesn't appear to be adjustable. Setup was pretty easy. When the TV was powered up I was prompted to update the firmware. Throughout the setup process the TV displays QR codes that ease the sign in process for the various platforms (Netflix, Amazon, Youtube, etc). The picture auto adjusts for the room's ambient light, and the sound auto adjusted for the room's acoustic properties. The remote is relatively simple and straight-forward to use. Backlit keys would've been appreciated for the bedroom environment, but I'm sure over time the layout of the keys will become muscle memory. For it's maiden voyage I queued up the shoot-out scene from the movie "Heat'. I couldn't stop watching. The picture quality blew me away. Sound was exceptionally good from the built-in speakers as well. I've seen this movie a gazillion times, but on the Samsung NEO QLED it was like I was seeing it for the first time. I was amazed. THIS is what movie viewing at home should be like! Navigating through the various menus of the TV is relatively easy. When paired with Alexa you can do a voice search for specific content, or use the TV to control various Alexa devices around the home. It seems they've thought of nearly everything when designing this television. I'm almost unreasonably excited about the time I'll be spending with the Samsung 55-inch NEO QLED TV. I can't wait to re-watch my old favorites to take advantage of the TVs built-in AI-upscaling to make the older movies look even better. I'd highly recommend this unit as an upgrade to those with standard LED TVs - see what you've been missing all along! ... show more

  • Extremely Disappointed: Poor Picture, Awful Sound
Size: 65-Inch Style: TV Only
This Samsung model and its description are misleading. The first thing you notice is the picture quality, which is nowhere near what was advertised. There’s no noticeable difference from a regular TV. The settings are also complicated and not easy to adjust. Even after trying recommended picture settings found online, I still couldn’t get a decent picture quality. The colors are supposed to be very accurate, but they’re not. It’s also supposed to be great for sports and motion, but it definitely isn’t. The sound quality was also awful—very basic and standard. For the same price, you can get TVs with Dolby and movie theater-quality sound, which this TV completely lacks. I ended up returning it after 5 days because it was such a letdown. ... show more
