Okay so admittingly I must have had a blond moment b/c I thought I replaced the lil small covection mwave I burnt out by assuming all I needed to convert our 225 Volts-watts - W! outlett To a -125 outlet with out a step up-step down converter They're (approx 100.00 and way to large to fit in our itsybitsy oven we use for storage). Big oops - almost as big as just how exactly my ex (and this could - should - and will stand as testimony as to why he's my ex b/c he nigga-rigged an outlet thru The cabinet above by splicing an extension cord - WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE - which eventually gave addiing to what now has amounted to a deformed knuckle when opening the stove almost a year ago sans approval from is landlord - and of course he's too cheap to pay for renters insurance so thousands of dollars later I'm faced with trying to go after his landlord whom did become aware of it - whom still 9 months after the fact have yet to inspect his crafty imagination - where we're we, oh yes Samsung. Well it's pointless in installing an under the counter model - the stove it sits on is smaller than the unit leaving <10" clearance above - it's big n bulkey and okay the mirror glass door sold me as did its capacity to grill. Problem solved? Not so much think again - the glass door is muted by the black surface so one day I got a smudge on the top so rather than dig for the goo off I drenched it in stopper. Once that was polished ever so lovely (sarcastic with an undertone of seriousness I attempted to apply a silver paint rather than use what j bought for my bike (same stuff you'd paint ur radiator with - and now it sits in memory of days - weeks - years I'm so glad I saved by leaving that idiot - whom continues to blame me for pulling the cord out of the wall - the same wall I offered to install an outlet to code without the crude. So hopefully my Ex'll strip it again - and this time put forth greater attention to detailing the stainless steel - much like I turned him on to the virtues off polishing the stainless steel sink he was ever so negligent with using whinlk around (Whink & stainless don't mix well btw). Now if I can judt find a lawyer... Any suggestions? ... show more

This is an awesome microwave and the versatility blows me away. As others mention, there is a learning curve involved with this because it is different from what we have all owned in the past. But once you get it figured out, you'll love it. Instead of the soft, soggy chicken nuggets that most microwaves produce, I'm able to serve my kids the same nuggets that are still thoroughly cooked, moist on the inside while crisp on the outside...in less than ten minutes. Once you get it figured out, your imagination is the only thing stopping you from serving a multitude of dishes, snacks or entrees. ***Please read if you are going buy this product*** The most unique feature of this product is poorly explained in the owner's instructions. I'm referring to page 20 and the use of the Crusty Plate and the Combi setting. The Combi setting is a default setting that uses the microwave at 30% power and the grill element on. Forget how the instruction explain it...here's how it works. YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE THIS FEATURE!!! Here's how I cooked two 1/3 lbs. hamburger patties. As stated in the instructions, place the Crusty Plate (without food) directly on the turntable. Press the Combi button and 3.0.0 (3 minutes) and press start. Use a hot pad to take the Crusty Plate out as it will be hot. Place the "metal" rack on the turntable in the microwave. Now, place the food on the Crusty Plate. In my case, I had two frozen, flavored hamburger patties taken right out of the freezer. Use your hot pad or glove and place the Crusty Plate on top of the metal rack. (Here's the clarification...Don't use the Grill button) Now, press Combi and 4.0.0 (4 minutes) and press start. With hamburger patties, flip over and repeat the Combi setting for 4 minutes. Because my patties were 1/3 lbs., they were not quite done yet. So, I flipped them and used the Combi setting for 4 more minutes. The result was two nicely browned, moist patties without any pink on the inside. Total time - 15 minutes. ***BEST OF ALL*** Amazingly, there wasn't any grease splatter on the top of the microwave to clean. Samsung got it right with this setting. Truly Awesome!!! ... show more

    • Great Microwave, Poor User Manual

I've only had this product a short time, but so far I like it's operation. It has many features, and the enamel interior is awesome and should be very easy to clean. Everything we've cooked in it so far has come out perfectly. However, I was very disappointed at the "User Manual" that was included with the machine. It is almost worthless. The manual is written in a very generic fashion to cover a number of different Samsung microwaves and gives only vague information about how to use this specific model. For example, this model came with a grill rack and "crusty plate". But there's absolutely no mention of these items in the user manual or what they are used for. Many other features in the user manual say "Available only on some models" with no clue as to whether they can be used on this particular unit. On the Amazon page for this unit, there is a link to an Application Guide. When I opened it up, voila, there was a copy of the infinitely more useful "Owner's Instructions and Cooking Guide", which actually tells you how to use this specific unit. Why was that not included in the box with the microwave? Sure, you can print it out yourself, but it's 30 something pages! I'm hoping someone at Amazon will give feedback to Samsung to include useful documentation with their products. ... show more
