    • Great sound quality! Tiny profile, but Big on the inside.
Color: Titanium Black
I purchased this mic to use primarily in a home office while on WebEx/Zoom calls. Previously I was using a MS Lifechat LX3000 headset, and the mic quality was excellent. However as a senior member of a very technical team, I felt like a teenaged gamer wearing a headset on camera while my peers all used their integrated mics. Everyone agreed that I sounded much better than them, however I felt slightly less professional. Now with the Samson Meteor, it sits out of camera on my desk, facing me, and I don't have to wear an unprofessional headset anymore. My team says I sound even better than before, and because the cardioid pickup pattern really only captures the audio in front of the microphone, my household family noises aren't heard as much as before. The only drawback and it is a so tiny I almost don't want to mention it, the location of the mute button. All of the applications I use to hold remote meetings have their own mute function, but I don't like to use them, as I am sometimes looking at another window or typing on a CLI elsewhere, and don't want to have to "click" back into the meeting app and un-mute myself to make a comment. The MS Lifechat had an inline mute button and when I muted myself nobody on the call could tell, it didn't make a noise. The Meteor makes a tiny noise when you mute it, mostly because the mute button is located right below the mic pickup. A co-worker said they could hear it, but only when I specifically asked them to listen for it, as a test. Since then nobody has ever commented on the sound, and it's such a small thing to even bring up. All in all I am very happy with this microphone and would recommend it to anyone. My son uses a Blue Yeti and this honestly sounds way better, and it's half the size. ... show more

    • Overall amazing quality and doesn’t break easily!
Color: Titanium Black
This mic overall is perfect for most people. The quality is great and the material used makes it droppable with no damage. It works in any setup, whether for gaming or recording. Only downside is the cord and where it connects. The cord is bigger than normal ones nowadays so it need to be in a good spot and not pulled or moved. I used the mic for years until the cord broke and I had a hard time replacing it. ... show more

    • Magnificent price\quality ratio! + bonus Lifehack
Color: Titanium Black
Using this little fella for almost a year now, and it's still fantastic, really glad i bought it. Sound quality is one of the best you can find in this price category, especially if bought on sale. The tripod is very versatile and legs can be removed if needed. It's weight allows you to carry the mic around, being able to listen to yourself by plugging in your headphones directly is a great feature for musicians and for testing purposes, while the little LED light is very informative if it's muted or not, or if there are any distortions occurring. The only reason why it's not a 5\5 review is the fact that those mics are so sensitive, they will capture everything around, from your surroundings to you smashing the keyboard buttons, so it may not be the top option for gamers or those who live in a loud environment. One of the things i really don't understand is how come Samson still use mini USB in 2019, which makes it ridiculous to look for replacement cables in case you need one. Also worth noting that the mic is rather tiny, so to get the highest possible quality you must speak directly into it, that means you will need a desk boom arm (which is rather expensive and pushes the entire setup into entirely different territory). Overall i do believe it's better to grab yourself a Blue Yeti if you don't need portability, because that thing has countless features to compensate all the cons listed above, while being an absolutely massive brick which you would never use anywhere besides your desk. Samson on the other hand is very versatile, and costs only half the price, while delivering fantastic results, so pick accordingly depending on your situation. Bonus tip: you can use the included Samson carry pouch bag as a pop filter. Just try it out before deciding to buy one, it's actually more convenient since you won't be able to attach the filter without a stand, while the bag can be worn on top like a sock, and removed at will, it really works like magic! ... show more

    • Works great
Color: Chrome
It works great, very worth it for the price point, and I come from the AT2020, so this was nice. I wouldn't put it on your desk, I'd get an arm for it, but they even thought of that because it is compatible, and the fact that it can be put on a desk makes it transportable, so it's great for laptops as well. Overall, a solid purchase, and I'd recommend it to anyone The sound quality is great. ... show more

    • Solid build, clear audio
Color: Chrome
Good so far. Solid heavy chromed steel construction, sensitive and clear. My Realtek audio in my windows PC detects it as "audio out", as well as "microphone", so I suggest you disable the audio out in your device driver settings, as it is not designed for that.

    • Great Mic
Color: Chrome
As far as the quality, and pricing I really like this microphone. I needed something basic and functional for my new singing lessons and this was on a music store so I thought it was a decent brand before buying it on Amazon so I could get it faster. I need to find a program where I can record myself and hear myself but I was told it makes me sound more clear on videos. I am going. to use it for podcasting too. I really love the silver color and they had it in stock on Amazon opposed to the music store. I really would rather get it in the color I like which is the silver. thank you! ... show more

    • Awesome Noise Cancel, Easy Set Up
Color: Titanium Black
I bought this mic by a recommendation from a co-worker. I needed something I could use on conference call that did a better job of picking up my voice while canceling out background noises. This thing did the job and then some! Since I have used it to record voice messages for our company. The sound is super clear and it is rare that it picks up a distracting noise from the background. Installation is pretty plug and play, the whole set up took about 10 minutes. The mic has some weight to it, i was pretty surprised. The tri pod does good job of making a stable base. I wish it was bluetooth, but for the price I understand. Overall I am extremely pleased with this mic and highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade the sound quality of their recordings at home or in the office. ... show more
