This was the best deal I could find for 3 mic stands, and the cables + carrying case was just a plus. I wasn’t sure what quality they would be considering the low combined price, but after giving them some heavy use I’m impressed. These aren’t just “good for the value”, these are solid... period. The stands are of higher quality and are more rugged than any other that I’ve personally owned or used. I came for the stands, but the 15’ cables are exactly what I expect out of a male-female XLR. The whole kit packed into the gig bag isn’t exactly “lightweight” but it is a real convenient package to carry around, dissemble & set up. I’ve purchased other 2 and 3 stand packages that didn’t come close to the value or quality of this one. The next time I need even 1 stand & cable, I’m buying another one of these just to have extra Samsons on hand for the future. TL;DR — 10/10 will buy again

Samson has addressed the typical failure points on these style stands: the base plastic piece where the 3 legs fold out, the set screws which hold boom in place and the height adjustment locking feature. This stand has a pretty beefy plastic base, and the set screws don’t drill directly into the boom rod, but drive a plastic clamp against the rod so it doesn’t destroy it every tome you tighten it down. A bit like adjustment on drum posts. The height adjustment is of the telescopic friction handle type (turn handle to tighten and lock height). It even came with an adapter for the smaller style mic clip threads. These are the better If not best in their league. As someone mentioned, they’re not pro stands that can put up with tons of set ups and tear downs, then being tossed into a rig. These are more of a church type setup, where the mic stand gets moved on occasion and adjusted for the musician or you gig at a coffee house regularly. I could see these lasting a really long time if one person was using it. Community property is always harder to maintain well.

I was very impressed at how fast the item was shipped. The product was already stored in the bag as you would typically store and carry to an event. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of the product, the bag, and highly recommend it....especially given the price!!!

These are decent budget stands. The bag and cable are not great, but you get what you pay for here. I am using them for a rehearsal space, home studio, and light gigging. For touring or pro studio applications, spend more money. Stands don't fit in the bag with mic clips attached, and no mic clips are included. The adjustments need to be really cranked down for a heavy mic, and don't have the height or reach of some other brands, but are fine for an sm58 at human mouth height. The included cables are absolute garbage, and shipped smashed flat so tightly that they have permanent creases throughout their lengths, so they are difficult to coil and won't lay flat. Not a big deal at home, but on stage they will be a tripping hazard and visual distraction. Overall, this set is a good value for light duty use. If the cables and bag are an important consideration, look elsewhere.

Started by getting some Pro Audio mic stands from the local Guitar Center for $46 each (Black Friday special). Man, they were cheaply built. Metal-on-metal, and when you'd tighten down the screws, you could immediately see the gouges in the paint/metal. It was only a matter of time before they'd get destroyed. We're a local hobby band - so there's some reasonable use (1-3x / month), but nothing like touring. So I took them back and found these. Loved them for the cables, and the case. I hate carrying a wad of mic stands from the car into the gig - they're always falling all over the place and fumbling about. The case is brilliant. I'm giving it 4 stars because, while I'm still happy with the purchase and the price, these units do sometimes need an extra tug to keep them tight. Not a big deal given the type of use; but I only give 5 stars for perfection. Given the price, the case, and the extra mic cables, I'm very satisfied.

I have been using a Sampson mic stand for over 15 years and loved it. When buying these new stands I didn't realize that what I would be getting is the EXACT SAME stand! My old stand still works without one problem and so I am thrilled that these Sampsons are exactly like my old one. I mean, exactly. I've used the stand in studio applications and out at live gigs and never have had even a slight problem. And then there is the bag. I like having a compact bag with internal tie downs and a great carry handle. This is perfect for taking the gear to gigs and being organized. And then... as if you needed more, are the XLR cables included in the bundle. Overall, this is a fantastic deal and one that I'll come back for as my needs increase.

This is a GREAT deal for a decent product: 3 inexpensive boom mic stands, 3 18' XLR cables, carrying case. I have some heavy all-metal stands with round bases (which I despise but they were free) and wanted something more portable to haul around to gigs. This set is perfect for that. Whether they will ...uh, "stand" up to being carried to and fro, we'll see. They are very lightweight (compared to my "studio stands"), fully adjustable, and the booms are just a couple inches shorter than my "normal" stands. If you only use mic stands infrequently OR if you want something very portable, this is a great buy. I've not tried the cables yet but they seem OK. Thinner than what I already have, so they'll probably be backups. But again, for hauling to gigs and general light use, this is a good deal for musicians/users on a budget.
