The media could not be loaded. I put it on my 3500 winch the cables were rusted The fittment of the rope was good overall but few thing i didnt expected was the quality felt like more of plastic rope vs accual sythetic rope but i read its just a coating to keep it durable so i guess time will tell when in use Installation was good and easy i bolted the end down because the rope was thick to fit inside the slot where the original Everything was fine until i ran into the issue when fitting the rubber stopper its bigger then the 1/4in like itself its probably made for 5/8, so i had to struggle with that and put like a fiberglass wrap around it then tighten it down to hold it in place that was a negative for me it was basically pointless to have it but made it work Thats why im giving 3 stars Beside that its good for atv & sxs

The way packaged had kinks in rope was folded in areas instead of looped after install notice areas where rope was separated a little so sure lost some strength we will see how long lasts.

*** See the bottom of this review for my star rating scale explanation *** The GOOD: - This kit includes everything you need - Seems to be of good quality, time will tell The BAD: - Other kits include a 3/8" hook for the same price or less - The metal eye loop guard isn't great and the rope can easily slip out The Verdict: NEUTRAL (buy if you like it, don't if you want a slightly better deal) Changes to get 5-stars: - The hook pull is of very think material and I don't anticipate it will hold up well over time - Include a 3/8" hook like other cheaper kits Details: This kit is has everything you need which is nice. It isn't the best price out there so maybe looking into warranties. This company does offer a 2-year warranty which does seem to be better than others. One thing to note is that while the hook is forged and marked with 5/16" and G70 grade, that means it is only rated for a maximum working load limit (WLL) of 4,700 lbs. which is not what they advertise. While it may be sufficient for most uses, I'd like to see at least a 3/8" hook which would be rated for 6,600 lbs. or better yet, a 7/16" which has a WLL of 8,750 lbs. All of these would be closer to the 9,500 lbs. capability of the rope. Reading more they suggest only using this for vehicles that weigh 3,200 lbs. or less and a winch rated for 5,000 lbs. or less. That is probably a good thing. One other thing I don't like is the loop guard. It seems fairly cheap and not large enough to capture the rope effectively. If the rope slips out it could eventually wear it out! Overall, if you like the color or what's included I say go for it. If you want to save a buck and get a better hook I'd search around a little more. ************************************************ My Rating Scale: 5 STARS - Item worked better than advertised and exceeded my expectations. The item provided more value than I anticipated and is a great deal. The item seems very well made and should last for a long time. (HIGHLY recommend) 4 STARS - Item worked exactly as expected if not slightly better. Item appears to be made well. I have no major complaints, it just didn't exceed my expectations (Good value, well made, met expectations, would recommend) 3 STARS - Item worked as expected without any surprises, good or bad, and did what I expected it to do (met expectations; might recommend if a good value) 2 STARS - Item easily wore out or didn't work as well as described, was disappointing for the price, and/or was of poor quality (might return if expensive; would not recommend). 1 STAR - Item easily broke/failed, did not match description and was not useful or did not worked as described (do not buy; return if possible; would not recommend; junk/waste of money).

The hook and loop eye are so-so quality. But I love having a nylon rope rather than the steel braided cable that came with my winch. That thing frayed and has given me some nasty pokes. The pound ratings are similar, and this won't rust, so it's a win. Can't yet assess durability until I use it for something heavy; only light duty use so far.
