It's been great, I can't believe every toilet is not equipped with this. We are like cave people in this country. Not only does it work perfectly, but it's also quick and pleasing to use. Cold water is not a problem. I picked this one because I like the design even though the low cost concerned me. I delayed getting one of these due to the fact they look fragile and fearing it would break, flooding my bathroom. It isn't ruggedly built, but I don't think it will break with abuse. The jets remain clean. They are completely hidden and pop out by water pressure. Cleaning the toilet bowl, extra care needs to be taken so as not to damage the part that sticks below the rim. Installation was pretty easy. My original steel braided line was old and needed to be replaced, that was the only problem. If you need to do this take the line with you because there are two types. Mine was a compression fitting and I bought the wrong type. Also, be careful when screwing on plastic threads. They can be stripped. If you are on the fence about getting this, do it. Even if you have to hire a plumber you will not regret it. ... show more

    • Decent Bidet for the money

The Samodra Bidet Attachment installed easily enough with no issues of leaking like some of the horror stories I read on some reviews... I did not use any of the teflon tape supplied with the bidet and only relied on the rubber seals that are on the hoses and meant for this type of installation. Just screw the fittings together and seat the seals properly maybe another 3/4 turn similar to installing an oil filter. Only reason I can imagine for having any leaks is if cross-threading the fittings of unlikely chance there is a flaw on the sealing surface of the mating pieces. All that said, my bidets (two installations) work well after properly positioning them relative to the toilet seats. That took a couple of attempts to get the spray direction correct. We have used them every day for 5 months now. The only slight issue recently is the rear bom spray tube is staying down on one of my bidets after use and has to be bumped just slightly to get it to retract into the tube. I attempted to get some lubricant into the tube channel to no avail but as stated earlier, the bidet is still functioning properly for the wash. We live in the south so water temp has not been an issue. I will see how long my other bidet fully retracts before deciding to write off this bidet design. For cold climates I can see some of the complaints are reasonable for cold water blast so a heating type bidet might be preferable. ... show more

It was not hard to install. Use the teflon tape which is included, although the instructions don't mention what to do with it - wrap it around the male ends of the connections in the same direction that the female end will screw into it (so that the tape doesn't come undone while you're screwing it together). The brass fitting and braided hose are good quality. Make sure the unit is well-centered because once it's installed, it doesn't move. You have to wiggle your bottom around to move the water stream. (Not a problem at all, btw.) It was a very good price, but mostly it's a very good unit and I didn't feel like I needed a more-expensive unit. Room temp water is not too cold and I don't feel like I need a heated unit (not possible without rewiring my bathroom). ... show more

It's amazing. Don't have access to electric or hot water without heavy investment so my first one was the hose. Loved it and was never going back to TP. Got this one for my bathroom and had to have the plumber install it because my toilet was all kinds of old and messed up, but looks easy as hell as long as your water intake valve works like it should. The aim is perfect and easy to adjust with a wiggle, and the force is easily controllable. It's great. I can't go back to the hand spray. I worry about its durability. I would pay 5 times the price for the exact same thing in metal. Still looking. ... show more

This was not difficult to install, except I still managed to mess it up! Once installed I had a tiny leak that was spraying a super fine mist from one of the connections & I could not figure out where it was coming from. So, I took the whole thing apart and started all over again - and made it worse! Like a thousand times worse. I used up all the plumbers tape & still had water all over the place. Every time I tried to fix it I only succeeded in making a bigger mess with more water gushing out of the connections in every direction. So, I gave up & my husband stepped in to save the day. Anyway, once my incompetence was fully acknowledged and I sufficiently thanked my husband for being a suitably manly man I got down to testing it out. As others have said, the cold water is not really an issue, warm would be nice, but it's not a deal breaker. The bum jet is a bit like having your rear end power washed - gotta be careful not to turn the dial all the way up because I'd be afraid to accidentally create a whole new hole where there shouldn't be one. The lady-part jet is much softer (thank goodness!) - but, I do have to position myself just right in order not to shoot the spray straight between my thighs, out of the loo & onto the bathroom floor. If I had beefy thighs & no thigh gap this wouldn't be an issue - but I don't. The images on the handle/dial for bum versus lady-part wash is adorable, looks like a very prim and proper lady floating above a garden fountain - so civilized! Anyway, all in all this nifty little bidet attachment is an efficient little thing when one would like to give their under carriage a little extra shining up - for whatever reason:) ... show more
