My veterinarian recommended getting my German shepherd started on omega 3 for her joints. I decided to try this fish oil as it has good ratings and isn't overly expensive. My dog has now been on the full dosage for her body weight for two weeks now. The plus is that it seems to be helping her itchiness as well. Even though she's on medication for allergies and is usually okay, this year in Florida she's been really bad the past several months. I know omega 3 is good for skin as well, but I really wasn't expecting anything to happen. She doesn't have any noticeable issues with her joints at present, so I can't really say if this is helping with it or not. I recommend this fish oil, but just double check with your vet before starting, especially if they're on any kind of medication. Try the smaller size first to make sure your pet likes it. My dog was a little skeptical at first since she's never had it, but she got over it quickly. :-) As per the packaging, start your pet out slowly, then work your way up to the full dose. My dog does not have any gut issues with this, but other dogs may. As for odor, it's fish oil, so it's going to smell, but not as much as I thought. My dog's breath isn't stinky except for right after she eats, nor does it seem to smell up the house. The pump works pretty well. Overall, this is a good product, and I would give it a try.

I've been giving this to my dogs for four months every day. Both of them have severe skin allergy issues and I have been desperately searching for something safe to give them. My honest results with my two dogs: Dog One: Hank 10 year old Lab Mix suffering from skin allergy problems for the last 7 years. Was on Apoquel for two years; initially very effective. As time went on, I was finding that the injections were only helping for about a week. I decided to take him off because it wasn't worth the long term side effects especially with the need for increased injections. After a month of using this product, there was an obvious change in the sheen of his coat. But of course, this was not my main goal. It wasn't until a full 3 months later that I noticed less scratching and irritation. Now, four months later, I would say his skin issues have improved by 60%. As before, I still bathe him every two weeks. His baths are still necessary to help soothe his skin. I am very pleased with these results and will continue to buy this product. Honestly, even if there was just a 20% improvement, I would be very happy. Dog Two: Noodles 5 year old mutt with the same skin issues. Scratching non stop, irritation, and hair loss. I started Noodles on this product the same time that Hank did. Unfortunately, there has been no improvement. However, I will continue to give it to him because he does love the taste and his coat is shinier. Even though only one of my dog's skin allergy issues were alleviated with this product, I still recommend it. If your dog is suffering from skin allergies, give this product a try. At the very least, your dog will love it and their coats will be super shiny!

This salmon oil has been incredible for my Dutch Shepherd. His coat is shinier than ever, his skin looks healthier, and he’s barely scratching now. He loves the taste, and the pump makes feeding super easy. I’m honestly impressed with how quickly we saw results. Highly recommend!

First, the lid leaks and the pump didn’t work. Then after first use, the cap broke. I might have ignored these things if my dog loved it. I think I used it 4 times when my dog love it. After that, she wouldn’t eat her food. I really didn’t understand this since I’ve seen great reviews on the product. So I was really disappointed. It’s unfortunate; but I hope others have greater success with it.
