This sucker can put it out. I was seriously thinking about purchasing the Edifier soundbar, but this one was $100 less. I can't vouch for a side by side comparison, but I really like this little speaker. You have several input modes, including auxillary input, which is important to me as I rarely use Bluetooth. Still, Bluetooth is there and it works fine, pairs up very quickly to all my devices. I like the remote and the fact that it has a subwoofer line out. The sound is just great for TV shows and casual listening. Good bass and nice trebles. I LOVE the woodgrain cabinet, it just looks really nice. The push button controls are easily accessed from the top and the status light on the front is easily visible but not intrusive during TV viewing. I wish it had rotary knobs for the volume and tone settings like the Edifier, but for the price, I'm not complaining. The build quality seems to be good and the remote works well.     • Absolutely worth the money. A utility speaker.
This is a great yet cheap multi function speaker. It's sold and advertised as a soundbar. That is true but it functions better as a Bluetooth speaker. Music sounds terrific with good highs and mids and good enough bass that in a smaller room I wouldn't even consider a sub. Now the part about it being a soundbar seems like a bonus of sorts. It has optical coax aux and HDMI ARC. I immediately tried BT music then took it to my TV. Found an HDMI cord that supported ARC. Connected it to the TV. Turned everything off then on then went into tv settings to turn those speakers off. Turned dolby anything off. Turned it off then on again. Works. The key is to turn everything on and off. My hdmi cable I know is faulty and sometimes the sound cuts out randomly but it's easy to fix . I fix it by using the remote for the soundbar to turn it off then on. It's a theme. Takes 15 seconds. Anyways. Worth it. ... show more

Excellent size, looks good, sounds great and priced right. I was looking for a sound bar for my TV that I could run without connecting my TV via Bluetooth. I am running my TV sound through the optical connector and streaming music via Bluetooth. The speaker can be used as a standalone Bluetooth speaker for your home and can be put almost anywhere due to its compact size. The speaker sounds good all but running wide open where it may start to distort a little bit when listening to stuff with heavy bass. It’s the perfect amount of extra sound for movie night. It has good bass response and good clarity. I use mine with my TV speakers where I blend in the TV speakers to add a little bit of clarity to spoken word during movies and the sound bar adds to extra thump. It’s loud enough that if you live in an apartment or in a close neighborhood and run it loud, your neighbors are gonna call the police. ... show more

Has fairly good volume for the size, a lot of bass until you crank it up a bit then the mids/highs come out a bit better, not audiophile quality but not bad either. Ive found if you stuff/restrict the ports a bit it tames down the BOOM BOOM a bit at lower volumes, highs are not the greatest. Good for a plain old beater for around the house/garage. Flea sized circuit PCB with amp so who knows it’s life span ... show more

    • Check the buzzing sound before giving it as a gift.
The unit looks nice, well built, the sound is decent, especially for the price. However, it comes with a buzz static sound, it's very noticeable at a low volume. I returned it for a replacement, however the replacement had the same issue. I kept it for the look and decent sound, especially at the price. The buzzing sound isn't so noticeable at a louder volume. 🙄 So it's just okay. ... show more

    • Will not work after 6 months; otherwise, great speaker.
I have now had this item for about a year....I'm late writing this review. This Saiyin bluetooth speaker worked well for about 6 months, then quit pairing with any bluetooth audio sources. I have tried the troubleshooting and several phones, but none work. I made the mistake of ignoring previous reviews stating this same concern, but I learned my lesson. I gave 2 stars because it looks great and worked well for 5 to 6 months. I recommend that you choose another speaker unless you don't mind replacing it semi-annually.
