I gotta say, this was fun even for an adult putting it together. However, I didn't want to put it together more than once so fortunately, with my own supplied super glue, I was able to make a nice treehouse log cabin and it holds together really nicely. Lots of fun to be had with this and the doors really do open and close.

I still remember having fun playing with Lincoln Logs when I was young, so I was happy to give this product a try for our 4-year-old son. I didn't know what to expect from this off-brand product, but at least initially, I am happy enough with the overall quality. For full transparency, the quality does lack compared to the original Lincoln Logs, mostly in terms of the wood quality (this one feels a little more like engineered, artificial wood compared to the original in my opinion); however, the price point on this is also a lot better compared to the original. I did rate it at 4 stars instead of the full 5 because of the drop in quality, but if you also take into account the price point, I would say that it is fair. It really depends on whether you want to spend up to get the best quality, or if you are looking for something that provides a good price/quality combination. The pieces themselves all fit together fine, and our son has been having a good time building things with it. I like the fact that this is a bit more challenging compared to the Lego building blocks because you need to ensure that you are being more detailed to get the pieces lined up in the slots properly; it has frustrated our son on a few occasions, but I feel like it actually helps him to be more patient and meticulate in his approach. There are definitely more than enough pieces in the set to get kids started on building and getting their creative juices flowing, and there is also an included instruction booklet to get them started on building a tree house like structure. Overall, I would recommend this product, especially for those looking for a budget option.

My children love playing with log toys and this one is definitely super fun. Every child loves the idea of a tree house which i think makes this toy even more unique. There are a lot of different pieces so you can get somewhat creative with what you build although we just built what was directed. It is a very good quality and would make a perfect gift, especially for those parents who love the wooden toys. My 5 almost 6 year old can do it all himself and seemed to get bored after a bit, however the 4 year old loves it and thinks it's super fun to play with but needed some help setting it up.

SainSmart Jr. 2 tier wooden Lincoln Logs tree house set is nice. When constructed it really was pretty cute. The bottom tier/platform sits on two short logs and the top tier/platform on two long logs. I built it inside the box/tray it came in to stabilize these so I could transport my construction if needed as those legs are a tad unstable. I had planned to use this toy in Pre-K but the critical thinking involved to follow the instructions or build the plan is out of reach of my 4 year old students. Maybe a couple students might take on this engineering feat by the end of Pre-K but the vast majority aren't ready yet. This toy, as it sits, is best for a 5+ child. With that said, all you need to do is take away the Lincoln Logs and add some dolls/ camping furniture to make this work for your 3-4 year old kiddos. I did notice that the wooden figures don't exactly fit through the doorways. The dog can walk through and I put the boy in the unfinished bedroom attached. The lizard is quite large, more juvenile croc size. This set would make a fun STEM learning activity for older kiddos. Littles will be frustrated as small body movements make devastating earthquakes on a project like this. Just grabbing the doorknob to open the door for a 3-4 year old may make the roof slats slide off or the wall collapse. They just don't have the fine motor yet. Good quality pieces, good critical thinking project for ages 5+. I will simplify this set and have it out with my other camping treehouse set, up against a wooden tray edge to stabilize the legs for my students.

This is a high quality building set that matches the photos in the listing. It's Lincoln Log style and even has the wood smell that my set had from back in the 1970s. The set has both wood and plastic pieces, with both having smooth finishes (the wood doesn't have chips, nor does it need any sanding). The green parts of the trees are wood (I thought they looked like foam in the photos, but am glad they're sturdy wood like the rest). The vivid colors match the photos and everything is ready to play with straight out of the box. Some of the initial tree setup may need an adult, but it's minimal. Instructions are included, but they are simple black on white diagrams that may be difficult for a younger child to decipher. If they refer to the photos or the drawing of the finished piece on the box, it will probably be easier for them. This building set is great for girls and boys, ages 3 through 10. It's boxed for easy gifting, though you will need larger storage once it's removed from the original box. I wish I had one of these sets when I was a kid. I highly recommend it for the quality, durability, creativity and building options, and that it's an old classic that keeps kids engrossed without being electronic.

These are exactly like Lincoln Logs in quality except they seem to come with more accessories than the other brand. You can make swings, a wishing well, there's a bucket, a door, a tree, some animals. It allows for a more complete home look when completed.
