Your child will think that the decoy button opens the lock, but pushing it has no effect. You’ll know that the flexible surface hides the actual secret to opening the lock. It installs easily with no drilling required. The adjustable straps let you get a customized fit for cabinets with hardware up to 8 inches apart and can be used on cabinets with either knobs or handle pulls. For periods of non-use, this cabinet lock hangs conveniently out of the way, but stays close for when it’s needed again. Easy to install on cabinets with double doors. Our cabinets have handles instead of knobs, but I think they would work just as well with that style. While the doors still open a little when my toddler pulls on them, there is no way she would be able to put her hand into the cabinet to pull anything out. The button to release the child lock is very well hidden, to the point that I struggled to find it at first. But they are very easy to open when you need to get into a cabinet. Ok that decoy button is effective. I got these and was PISSED that all four were broken and wouldn’t open. Until I watched a video and realized it was a decoy button…. Then I felt stupid. These are fantastic.

Love this. After my very food obsesssed cat broke through previous child locks and ate pounds of food and had to go to the vet… we purchased this. It’s so good that when my mother was pet sitting for us she could not figure out how to open it and just gave up. It also stumped my husband and house guests. Good luck to the toddlers who try! They hold well. My only gripe is the leashes could be a bit longer. They were barely long enough for my cabinets. They just made it and are holding securely though. They keep my toddlers safe so I am happy.

Even my 2 year old, who literally figures everything out, cannot open these locks. These locks are brilliant, versatile and work 100 percent. They are easy for an adult to open when used properly. Love these and will buy again.

My son is Houdini reincarnated and I’m not exaggerating. He has the brain of an engineer at 4 years old but this child safety lock has him stumped. I tried one from a different brand and he broke it trying to close the lock somehow so I ordered these as a replacement. First off I got 4 for the same price that I paid for 1 at a hardware store, so this price is outstanding. Secondly, it’s very easy for adults to use and my 10 year old son. I absolutely cannot recommend this product enough! It was the answer to my prayers! I cannot tell you the peace of mind that I have knowing this is attached securely under the kitchen sink, there are no more harmful nasty chemicals within Houdini’s little hands!!
