    • iOS App quality makes this useless
The camera in itself is fine. The app is so bad it makes use of it nearly impossible. Once finally connected to Wifi, for one person (an ordeal in itself) there appears no way to add a second user. Using the “Join a shared device” button brings up an alert to say to open the invitation email. Doing so only opens a deep link to Safari and then to the AppStore for the Safety First app. It does not go to the already open app, and does not make use of the invitation code. Attempting to use the “Join a shared home” button, using the email code sent via the Home Information screen in Settings->Home Management->My Home, always shows the code as invalid. I’ve tried every possible way that I can see to add a second user, to no avail. The app has serious energy issues - it will burn through a battery very quickly, even while running in the background. The app seems to ignore any iOS sleep settings, keeping the iPhone on all the time the app is in the foreground, even if the view seen on the app is not the monitor. There are also dead-simple fixes that would improve UX, like designating a text field as an email field, or allowing a tap gesture to close the keyboard, instead of covering the button needed to continue with setup. We'll be attempting to return this product, and, until the app has a major overhaul, don't recommend to anyone. ... show more

I'm not sure if it's the internet I use, but it sometimes drops the stream and some days just doesn't work at all but most of the time it works and I'm pleased when it does even though it lags a few seconds behind. The picture is clear and I can zoom in the see my baby breathing when I need to lol

    • Great …when the app works!
The camera itself is fine.. The picture is clear both during the day and night. However, as others have said, the app is terrible. Setting up was fairly easy, even though we did have to do the firmware update which froze, but once we moved past that, the app is easy to navigate IF it’s working. The first problem we encountered is that once you have video up, the image will freeze, which just looks like a sleeping baby.. I only noticed it wasn’t live because the time in the upper left corner had stopped too. Also, in the last week, on three separate occasions, the app crashed at some point during the night and there wasn’t an alarm or anything that alerted me! For obvious reasons, that’s problematic for a baby monitor.. Luckily, I hadn’t removed our previous monitor from our baby’s room and had it running as a back up. Lastly, if you use a white noise machine, this camera will not filter that noise at all! In fact, it comes through incredibly loud on the app, even on the lowest volume. Needless to say, we’re not keeping this camera because of the unreliability of the app.. ... show more

Got this as a gift a few months before baby was born and should have started testing it out then... when it works, it's nifty. But... the quality is spotty. Some days the picture quality looks great and I take pictures with it of my bubs. Other days, it is blurry and glitchy. It often won't even load in the app and notifications can be sporadic. The whole point in video was to be able to pop in and check on bubs. If it won't load or is constantly delayed, it is a pointless device which the giver wasted money on. The camera also runs really hot. I put in a micro sd card to record events because I refuse to pay for their 7 day cloud subscription. The suite is a joke, so many items do the same as the others, but they want to bundle the items. I do not recommend this camera until they spend more time fixing its issues and the app it uses. ... show more
