This cabinet lock is amazing. I didn’t buy it for children, I bought it for my cat! He is very smart and has learned how to open the cabinet where I keep the treats, chewy meds for the dog, and other meal additives (fish oil). I had first purchased a different lock that had zip ties and a secret button to open. But there was still enough play between the two cabinet doors to create a gap, to which little Mr GrabbyPaws could reach in and fish something out. This is by far easier to use and looks better as there is nothing hanging on the outside of the cabinets. The media could not be loaded. It takes a bit to put these locks in but it is worth it. I use the screws and it stays put. It opens pretty easily with the magnetic lock. They are very durable and no matter how my 2yo trys she can't open the drawers. Highly recommend.

    • Work well and easy to install.
These are working well on our single door cabinets. Assuming the doors are properly adjusted before installation they do a good job of keeping our grandchildren out of the cabinets. With the installation tool it was easy to mount and align the latch to the catch so I was able to install the four we needed in about 15 minutes. These are not strong enough to keep an adult out if they do not have the magnet key. I know this as we thought the key had fallen into one of the locked cabinets and I was able to open the door with enough downward and outward pressure. On the plus side after forcing the door open the lock parts remained firmly attached to the cabinets with no signs of damage. After all of that the magnet key was not in the cabinet and was later found to have attached itself to a metal container. It would be nice if the set came with two keys so you can keep a backup someplace where it would not get lost. The locks are a bit pricey but for our case of 4 doors and not wanting to drill into the cabinets they are worth the extra cost. If we had had to do more doors I probably would have looked at other products or developed something on my own. ... show more

    • Wicked nifty locking system!
Okay, so I don't have kids, but I have some things I don't want people to get into. I store these things in a pretty cabinet I purchased that has 2 doors. I wanted to find a lock that would not show and I kept seeing bluetooth ones and stuff. Then I stumbled on this. Magnetic. Perfect! I ordered them and they are easy to install and work well for what I'm trying to do! You cannot tell there is anything installed from the outside of the cabinet. You just take the magnet "key" and put it over the spot of the magnet inside and it unlocks. You can hear the click, too. It is also easy to turn off the lock.
