I bought this vinyl shower floor sticker for a traditional bathtub, but ended up using it in a stand-in shower—and I’m so glad I did. The previous owner left behind some stubborn discoloration on the shower floor that would not come out no matter how much I scrubbed. It honestly made me feel gross showering there, even though I knew it was technically clean. This product was the perfect solution. Because my shower floor is a different shape than a tub, I ordered two sets so I could measure, cut, and customize the fit. The entire measuring and cutting process took me about 30 minutes, and that was taking my time to get it right. The vinyl cuts easily with scissors (mine happened to be trauma sheers because I’m a nurse). Application was shockingly easy: • Peel and stick only • No special tools needed • Went down cleanly on the first try • No bubbles at all I didn’t even wait to let it “set” — I showered immediately after installing because I couldn’t wait anymore, and it held up perfectly with zero issues. The texture feels really nice underfoot—not harsh, but with enough grip to feel secure. I’d just recommend taking a little extra care to press down all the edges firmly, especially around curves and corners, to make sure everything stays sealed. Overall, this completely transformed how I feel about my shower. It looks clean, feels good, and most importantly, I’m no longer disgusted stepping in there. If you’re dealing with stains, discoloration, or just want a refresh, this is a fantastic option—even outside its intended use. I wish this product offered a size/fit specifically for a walk-in shower. I had a bunch of extra scraps after cutting, so I placed some strips along the entry step for extra pizzazz. I purchased the Safe Way Traction 16" x 40" White Adhesive Vinyl Anti-Slip Bath Mat, and it has been very effective and practical for my bathroom. I stumbled on to this when I was searching for an anti slip product for my bathtub. I have been using a matt but we were expecting company and I didn't want to bother them to deal with the matt. Plus I didn't want the matt to catch alot of hair as I already have something like that at the drain, so was looking for something that looks good and functional. When I saw this and read the reviews, I thought, why not? Boy, I am glad I purchased it! What I love about this: 1. the size: easily fits my tub from one end to the drain. It's perfect! 2. the anti slip grip is subtle but works well. It's not highly bumpy, just has tiny, tiny grains of bumps, almost like dull sandpaper like 3. sticks well! It's been almost 2 months since I installed it and the edges aren't curling or peeling off. And this is from DAILY showering in that tub. I am quite impressed by the quality. 4. very thin but very functional, not heavy or thick like the rubber matts. 5. it's forgiving enough when you install it and make mistakes. Meaning if it's not straight or if you have bubbles, you can peel it right away and fix that. BUT you really need to have 2 people working on this to help straighten out the bubbles. One thing though to know is, the item is delivered flimsily. Meaning it is just a thin roll of paper, folded, but don't worry, it will not keep that shape when you install it. Just unroll/unfold it for a day or two, have something heavy on it to help straighten it out. Once you peel the backing, folding parts will not be visible. I honestly am very impressed and so very pleased with the product! It looks great, not cheap and works great!

Three years ago, we did a major bathroom remodel that included new tub and tempered glass surround. Our contractor (as is the norm) was way over budget and behind schedule. In order to move forward, he had the tub and glass delivered and installed the same day, a day no one could be home. We had no prior issues with quality... until then. We returned home to discover three small defects in the bottom of our BRAND NEW tub that anyone could spot as it was white. Of course, as luck would have it, the custom glass had already been installed around this tub by another company. We were NOT pleased with our contractor who never noticed the tub defect and were able to get a full refund from the place we bought the tub from (free tub) but there was no way they were paying $1500 for the glass company to come back, disassemble their work (if possible) and then put it all back together while a new tub was swapped out nor were we. The contractor WAS a family friend so we expressed our displeasure many times but in the end were left with a beautiful new bathroom with a tub with three "spots" on the bottom that looks like dirt! So, ever since we have used non-skid strips or dots or whatever to cover the defects. They sure do hide the defects but since the spots are not in a row, etc. we need to be a bit creative with placement each time we need to replace them so it looks like they are not there to hide something. It suddenly occurred to us that MAYBE someone makes the same material in a "mat" that would go down, cover the entire bottom of the tub and even if it needed to be replaced twice a year no more defects or creative camouflage. WE FOUND IT HERE! This item works great. You do need to use care that you are applying it straight but if you are gentle as you place it and watch to be sure it's straight you'll be fine. If you see yourself "drifting" you can GENTLY pull it back up and try again but the adhesive is strong. Now the bottom of our tub looks like it has a nice white mat is there that is great quality and a terrific price when it needs to be replaced. Defects in the tub? NEVER! ONE NOTE: While some may love it, the next time I think we'd buy one without the drain cut that ends just before. Trying to center that drain half circle perfectly around the drain was not fun.

Very satisfying with the results it saves my old tub from being replaced and helps also to minimize the slippery it fits very nicely around the drain Also easy to install and has very strong adhesive but I recommend to put it on the sun for about half an hour before you put it in your shower it’s helped alot to comfort install

This is soooo much better than horrible bath mat! So much safer, easy to clean, looks very nice ! They last a long time. I had mine for years and was great when my kids where younger. If you have kids, if you are older and need it for safety its a no blainer! Just be paitient when you put it on!

I bought this because I was tired of dealing with the rubber bathmat with the suction cups on the bottom. I noticed this is the type of non-slip surface they use in motels and looked up whether the general public could buy them. I have not yet installed this mat but, the surface definitely will be non-slip. It is also wider and longer than our old rubber mat with the suction cups. It does have some "bends" in the material that make me wonder how hard it will be to get it to lay flat when applying it to the tub but, other than that I have no complaints and I would recommend this product. UPDATE: Thursday, March 13, 2014 I FINALLY got this thing installed. The delay was waiting to get the tub cleaned out really well. Now, while I stand by the fact that I think this is a good product, it is easier said than done to get it laid down smoothly AND straight! I started as instructed by peeling back about two inches of the backing from the end that goes near the drain. This seemed to go fine. Then, as I started to work backward I got a spot that creased and stuck to itself. This will not affect the mat's effectiveness but it doesn't look very good. As I continued working I noticed that the mat was starting to go more to one side (I think had I gone with my original plan of laying down some masking tape as a guide this would have been less likely to happen). Again this will not affect the usefulness of the mat. It just doesn't look as good as I'd like. One BIG problem that does not appear to have anything to do with my installation is that there is a spot about 6 inches or so from the drain edge where there is, for lack of a better term, a 'bubble.' This is a spot that just would not adhere to the tub surface and I am not sure why. I tried rubbing over it to smooth it down but it seems as though there isn't enough adhesive on that spot or something. This IS a problem as I can only imagine this spot getting a hole from wear or possibly even a tear. Unless it is a lack of adhesive the only thing else I can figure is that there might be a slight 'dip' in my tub on that spot. Other than these issues I still think this is a great product over all. Time will tell if it is worth the money I spent on it. Because of the issues I stated above I have lowered my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars.

Mine and my wife's only regret is not finding out about peel and stick bathtub mats 30 years ago. This mat is thin and sticks directly to the tub, so you can hardly tell it's there. Unlike suction cup mats that are bulky and have a tendency to slide around as well as get mildew underneath. Straightforward and simple installation, non-slip surface, and long length make this product a winner in all aspects. Everyone should own one of these. As for installation, if you're a perfectionist like myself, it can be as tricky as installing a cell phone screen protector. I still have a couple of very small bubbles that I couldn't get out, but these in no way affect the usefulness of this product, and truth be told you'd probably not even know they're there. As per included instructions, do not use a cleaner that contains silicone or other particles (no Soft Scrub, Ajax, Comet, etc). Here's what I did: Spray the tub with Fantastik and let it sit for 10 minutes. Wiped it down with a wet washcloth. Sprayed it again with Fantastik, wiped it down and rinsed it with hot water. Let the tub dry. Lay the mat down in the tub BEFORE peeling off the backing. Align the mat in the tub making sure to keep it far enough away from the drain that it's not on the downward curving part of the tub. Make sure sides are paralell to the tub walls. Now take a pencil and mark the corners by the tub drain, as well as every 8 inches along the side of the mat closest to you. These mark will help with alignment as you install the mat. Manufacturer's directions: Peel the backing by the drain cutout back about 12 inches and crease the backing paper so it's folded back on itself. Lay the mat in the tub and carefully align it to your pencil marks, being sure to stretch it taut from side-to-side. Reach underneath and pull the paper back another 12 inches. During this process you can lift the mat back up and reposition it as long as you don't press firmly to make it adhere. What I did differently: The manufacturer's method of "peel and stick as you go" would probably work fine if you had two people. One to align and stick the mat while the other holds the opposite end up and peels the paper. I was doing this alone, so I found it easier to peel the entire backing off and start on the outside edge of the tub, aligning the mat with my pencil marks and working my way from the outside to the inside of the tub, rather than from drain to rear of tub. No matter which method you use, it's inevitable that you're going to have bubbles. Especially if your tub has those textured bumps that seem so prevalent nowadays (mine has these). I just happened to have a 4" hard rubber roller that's normally used for applying veneers. I used this and rolled from the center of the tub out toward the edges and got 99.9% of all the bubbles out without a problem. The key here is that the bubbles will "walk" out to the edges as long as you have NOT pressed firmly and caused the adhesive backing to stick really good. Once it's firmly stuck down, any bubbles in the mat will not want to budge. If you find yourself stuck with too many or too big bubbles under the mat, use a knife or razor blade to carefully pry up one corner of the mat and peel it off the tub until you get to the problem area, then re-stick it back down. If you don't have a roller, I suggest standing on the mat with bare feet and firmly pressing it in place at the end. The glue is waterproof, so once it's stuck down you can use it immediately. If you used pencil to mark the corners and sides, you can now use a little Soft Scrub and a toothbrush, or Fantastik and a sponge to remove the pencil marks. UPDATE: It's been about 6 months now since we purchased and installed this bath mat. This mat is so low profile and so maintenance-free that you literally almost forget that it's even there. I can pretty much guarantee that if you've been using suction cup bath mats and you switch to this, you'll never want to go back.
