I needed a long rug for the entrance hallway at my salon. I was a little worried it wouldn't be thick or long enough, like my ex husband. WRONG. UPGRADE YOUR RUG TO THIS ONE. I hate the word plush, but this thing is plush. And the colors. Oh, don't even get me started. They are vibrant and the pattern is very crisp. It made my hallway look completely different. Even my clients notice how freaking awesome it feels and looks. It also doesn't have a weird overseas-insecticide-rubber-oh god it causes cancer in California smell at ALL. Only issue was it came rolled up, tighter than that joint you had in the early 80's. I unrolled it, let it sit out for a few days untouched and then kind of paced over the little bumps for a bit. Don't let that be a deterrent, because if you can't unroll a rug and let it settle, then maybe you don't need a rug. I know most of you all unrolled posters in the 80s of The Karate Kid and are all too familiar with the procedure. BUY IIIIITTTT.

Absolutely perfect! I placed this in my kitchen and have had so many compliments! The colors are vibrant and the carpet itself thick. Plan on getting a slip resistant runner to go underneath, it is a bit slippery on wood floors.

After doing a bunch of research and reading a few "don't fret and just buy this rug" reviews, I went ahead and ordered this in 8x10. After hauling this thing upstairs and getting it out of its packaging I was disappointed. Heck, I was beyond disappointed. This was one of the cheapest looking and most inconsistent rugs I have ever laid eyes on. The lush rug I saw in the photos was not there. The print itself appears lopsided and fuzzy,however, the kicker is that there is random blocks of the rug with an extreme amount of gray fuzz that makes the thing look like heavy static in some spots. This isnt consistent throughout the rug at all, but enough to stick out like a sore thumb where it does exist-right next to an area of deep color. If you are reading this and thinking that I am being a bit harsh for a cheaper rug, I can tell you that I wouldnt be happy with my example if it was a third of what I paid for it.

Keeping in mind the price point for this rug, it's fabulous. A few heavy books o the corners for a couple hours, and it lays flat. You'll definitely need a rug pad to keep it from moving on a wood floor (Gorilla Grip rug pad works great). It's a vibrant, true red, but not over powering as the black on the edges mutes it a bit. It has just a hint of turquoise which is exactly what I was looking for.

Excellent quality for the price. These are made of acrylic (Olefin), and are NOT wool. Although they do blend well with our wool Afghani rug, seen in one of the photos with the runners, both pattern and color wise. You should DEFINITELY use a rug gripper, we had them out for a few days and husband ended up almost slipping on one. Easy to clean (long-haired cats do make hairballs, Why Oh Why do they always go for the BRAND NEW RUGS?!) using Simple Green or other carpet cleaner. Zero evidence of the hairball. The runners are true to color with the main rug as well as with the advertised photos in the Amazon page. Would buy again.

This is the third Safavieh rug I have ordered from Amazon. I must like them, right? And I guess I do. This one looks more like the picture, than my previously ordered rugs did. The red is more orange than I expected. But I knew when I ordered, these rugs are kinda random in terms of how well they match the pictures. I am not complaining so much as warning... you get a great quality rug but don’t get too emotionally invested in color matching. I think the thing that makes them look vintage is the way they don’t quite match my other stuff, and I like that. But If you demand a rug that matches the cushions perfectly, shop locally. I ordered the 6’7” square rug and the size seems accurate. The wool rugs are thicker and richer than this polypropylene one. But I got this one to do yoga on. The polypropylene doesn’t shed like wool does, and it is more comfortable on my skin.

OK, I just received this rug and we got it set up in our living room. My initial reaction was that while I do like the colors and thickness of the rug, I the pattern doesn't appear as crisp and sharp as it does in the photos on Amazon. Close up, the pattern seems more muddled and chaotic. I honestly wasn't sure I liked it. I stepped back from the area we'd set it up in and looked at it over and over again. Then it started growing on me. I think we'll keep it as it's been a very cold winter and we live in a 135-year old home that can sometimes feel a bit drafty. The rug definitely helps the room feel cozy and warm.
