It gave me an initial fright when I unrolled it against my pure white bedding, but this is indeed a very light toned rug. It is slightly cream, which hides dirt well. Not precisely 8x10 but that wasn't important to me. I put a 1/4 inch felt pad underneath so it feels both soft and plush. The pad was trimmed to fit about 1 inch shy of the rug. Didn't have major issues with bubbling but I did have to weight down one side for a few days. I've had it a few months and have been able to clean up some dog messes successfully using baking soda, white vinegar, and a vacuum. We bought this carpet, just based on the reviews, it was a little bit of a blind leap of faith. But the reviews were right. It's a soft, thick carpet, we are very pleased with it. It's easy to vaccuum as well. The gray/ cream colors are subtle enough. It's a big surprise how great this carpet is! Here are some things we've noticed with the carpet, none of which are deal-breakers for us: It smelled a little bit when we first unpacked it, so we left it outside to air out. In my opinion, this is normal. It's a synthetic carpet, of course it will have a smell. We also put a HEPA filter next to it for about a day. And a few days in, the smell was gone. The carpet lies flat, no issue with corners or sides coming up. We did spill water about 2 feet from the edge, and that made the edge rise up while the carpet was wet. It went back down afterwards. The carpet size is not precisely 8x10. It was a little weird when we laid it down and realized that. But I understand most carpets in the US, for whatever reason, whether synthetic or not, are not of precise size. It's weird, but not an issue with this carpet specifically. ... show more

I'm very happy with my purchase. I have a long hallway followed by a shorter one, and 2x5 and 2x15 ft rugs worked perfectly. The original hardwood floor has been badly scratched by previous owners, so we wanted something to cover them until we're able to replace the floors. The rug is soft and lays flat.
