The runner was even thicker than I was expecting, in fact, I thought it was almost too thick. I got this small runner first to see if I wanted it in the large size for my bedroom. I was wondering how it would be in the large size with it that thick. But when I got the larger size today, it wasn't as thick. I'm not sure why. This rug is a unique size that was perfect for my daughter's nursery. The color is amazing and it really is a true silver. It can look lighter or darker depending on the lighting in the room as you can see in my photos. The pile is thick which I like, but I do wish it was softer. It's more the feeling of yarn rather than a super soft, luxurious rug. That being said, for the price it can't be beat, honestly my baby and I lay on the floor on this rug all the time and it's pretty comfortable and it definitely looks great. I would definitely recommend this rug.

I ordered this one, thinking it was the same style as one I am replacing due to color change in the room. I thought I had a California, but after this arrived, I found the tag on the back of my first rug says Milan. So, I have both. They are both very nice. The Milan is definitely fluffier and thicker than the California. The California is very nice though, the kids will still roll around on it, and it feels soft on your feet. The California has a little sheen to it - but the Milan color is flatter. Either one is very nice. They stay fluffed, not flat when you walk on them. Definitely use a pad under them.

This is a beautiful area rug. I have the 5X8 Ivory. It is so thick and well made. I have purchased 4 Safavieh area rugs now and have had the others for years and they are all great quality and work well in high traffic area. The other amazing thing as that their rugs are the size they claim. You do not get "shorted" when you purchased these area rugs. Mainly they are just very well made and I have loved them all.
