Natural fiber tones vary subtly, enhancing the rug’s authentic, artisanal character, while the sturdy construction is best enjoyed in low-traffic areas away from busy doorways. Each rug is handmade, resulting in slight variations in size and color that make every piece unique. Sprouting and shedding are natural characteristics of jute fibers; simply trim loose fibers with scissors as needed. Shake to remove debris and vacuum on a low setting without a beater bar. Rugs may arrive with temporary creases—reverse roll and allow time for creases to flatten and settle. A rug pad is recommended for added comfort, stability, and floor protection. To preserve color, avoid placing in direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure may cause fading over time.

I am happy with this purchase. It has a bit of a different weave and texture for a jute rug which was appealing compared to most other options. I do also agree that it is softer as a result of the texture. Downside there is it has a higher weave which makes it a little tough for crumbs and other debris to get stuck and wedged into it and the vacuum is not always smooth to run over it. A was a little disappointed in the ‘bleach’ color and hoped it would be whiter and lighter. It definitely has more of a natural golden tone, and I thought it would not work out. Do not be deceived by the good price. This product is dangerous. It pretty but sheds endlessly and it’s not hairs or jute like fibers. It sheds what I am 100% certain are WOOD SPLINTERS. My son even had TWO of them stuck in his foot that I had to pull out with tweezers! The skin was red and inflamed. They are tiny hard SHARP stabbing fibers. They got all over our couch and pillows and it hurts to sit as they stab you endlessly while you sit there then the fibers are stuck to your clothes and even sticky rollers won’t get them all the way off your clothes cuz they are engrained into the clothes like tiny safety pins poked through the material of your clothes. And if your toddler throws your laundry on the rug before you fold it, the fibers get all engrained in the clothes. If you don’t wash them again then your children get all crazy itchy and grouchy and sensory overloaded. DO NOT DO IT JUST SPEND MORE ON A HIGHER QUALITY RUG. You can see the seam down the middle of my 9x12 like their looms aren’t even big enough to make this size rug and it was hand knitted together down the middle. Super low quality dangerous. After my house being covered in splinters and my son being hurt I seriously want to consult a lawyer. This product needs to be discontinued. ... show more

    • Warning rug does not measure 8 X 10

I did not open the plastic wrapper but had read from a previous reviewer that this rug is not an 8 X 10, but measured 7.6 X 9. I measured the width of the rug in the wrapper and it only measured 7'6" rather the 8 feet long so didn't bother unwrapping it. It was a terrible problem returning it to the sender, who refused to pick it up in spite of the fact that they falsely advertised the wrong size the wanted me to take it to the UPS office. I'm 4'10, and 80 years old there is no way could take this to the ups. It was finally after many calls explaining the situation to Amazon that I got hold of a supervisor that assisted me and arranged for a pick up. This took so much of my time Warning to not purchase from rugs direct. They are an awful company. The advertise falsely and do not behave responsibly when they do. ... show more

This rug looks a lot different than I expected it to but it’s an even nicer quality. It has a super textured look and is very thick and soft. It feels different than most natural fiber rugs that I’ve had. My animals choose to sleep on it over their beds! The color is a little darker than I’d like but overall a great purchase. I loved the look but in a short window of time the fabric is coming undone and have chunks that pop up that I need to keep trimming, the shape has also gone a little off and I am constantly trying to straighten the rug out. The rug is absolutely gorgeous. It is thick, the fibers are soft like silk and this combined with the construction create an overall pleasant texture to walk on. I would think it’d be relatively easy to vacuum up. However, stains would most likely penetrate through the top fibers (into the ones underneath) making it harder to remove the stain completely or ensure cleanliness. My only qualm with this piece was the color. I purchased the dark brownish color and received a grey. I believe it is advertised incorrectly. Just a warning for those interested in this color. This natural Jute/Cotton Carpet is Gorgeous! The color states “gold” but it’s more of a pumpkin spice, rich Amber/Raw Honey in color. The design is of premium high quality and SOFT on the feet! Even my pets love walking and laying on our new kitchen rug. It’s also as stated in size. It’s not shorter or longer just “as is” in length and width. It’s has a plush thickness to it which brings comfort on a fatigue tile cold floor. Excellent purchase, happy with my buy, highly recommend to anyone debating due to the higher price. It’s worth it! I don’t think you will go wrong with any color choice to match your home decor but this Gold color is spectacular!
