I purchased several rugs for a vacation home. They serve their purpose. They’re affordable and appear to be durable, and attractive. The fabric banding around the rug, adds a nice decorative touch. My husband enjoys them as well, and requested that I order more, as a back up to replace in case it becomes dingy. I purchased a runner in front of my kitchen sink and a few more as a door mate. My rug came in today and I am so happy!! I needed a large size for this room but I am on a budget so I didn’t want to spend tons of money. This rug looks very high quality but still came in under $500 for a 9x12. It’s been down for a couple hours and there are still a couple wrinkles but I’m sure they will go away with time. There is also a smell, but that will fade away in a few days as well. I do feel like the rug looks a lighter in person than the pictures in the listing do. I like the light color of the rug, but that is something to keep in mind. Lastly, I love the look of sisal rugs, but I HATE how they feel on bare feet. I decided that I liked how they look enough to get over my sensory issues, but I must say this one is not as scratchy as others I’ve walked on! It certainly isn’t soft or anything, but it doesn’t give me the heebie jeebies to walk on it barefoot. Overall, I can’t say enough about how great this rug is! ... show more

Practical and beautiful. It’s not soft underfoot, but it feels durable. The weave is small and tight and I like that. I am layering an 8x10 wool rug over this one so I didn’t care how it felt underfoot. I needed a 12’ square and a 9x12 size and fortunately I was able to find them in this one. I was also wanting something neutral that would go with my wool rugs. These read a bit yellow but that’s ok with me. The only thing I wish were different is the binding. I wish the jute went to the edges. That is why I took a star off. One thing I always recommend no matter the description of the rug is to have them professionally scotch guarded, the clean look of your rug will last much much longer, and it will be easier to clean if anything does spill. I'm absolutely thrilled with this rug! I purchased it in two sizes to suit different areas of my home, and the appearance and color are a perfect match to the online images. The texture is on the tougher side, similar of woven straw or a classic jute rug. While there was minimal shedding during unpacking, it stopped once the rugs were laid out. I am shocked to see good reviews. The rug arrived and appeared used in white plastic, no attached paperwork. When opening it, the entire rubber backing was physically stuck together on the sides. When pulling this apart, the backing stripped and ripped, putting holes in the backing, it was basically super-glued together on both sides and we needed two people to try to physically pull this apart. Besides the damage and used appearance, the rug SMELLED SO BAD like rubber/chemicals. There is NO way this is natural fibers on the backing. My entire house smelled and still smells even after putting this outside for return pickup. Save yourself some time and do NOT order this mess. ... show more

    • Takes a Long Time to Flatten

It's a beautiful area rug that arrived rolled, so I never expected for it take so long to flatten out. I unrolled it 10 days ago, and it still has visible ridges. Despite walking on it and putting weights on it, I cannot get it to flatten out completely. I may try re-rolling it in the opposite direction for a few days to see if that helps. I purchased a second identical rug in a smaller size, and I'm considering whether to return it knowing how long it can take to get these rugs to lie flat. Buyers should also note that this rug is not soft to walk on in bare feet and it stains easily when spills occur. ... show more
