This rug was perfect for the family room of our new house. When I 1st received it I thought I hit the jackpot until the rug started getting pulls all over it (dozens in all) and it’s been down for barely a month. My husband and I are “older”, so no children dragging toys all over it. In fact, we don’t even wear shoes in the house, so not only am I angry that I wasted my money but I’m sad that this rug that seemed so perfect for our space is now trash. I ordered a smaller rug to see what it looked like in person. The rug is beautiful and actually soft on your bare feet. I would have ordered a larger size BUT the darn rug would not lay flat no matter what I did...and I mean I tried everything I could think of!

This rug was priced exactly right. I was eyeing one that looked the same on rugsusa for $670 (10x14) that is jute and cotton- this is a better, more durable material for much less! The wool blend means it sheds less jute and is more secure, and it has a nice backing. Wool is also hypoallergenic and water repellant, unlike cotton. The rug is ok, but I’ve had it for 5 months now and the shedding has not gotten any better despite vacuuming it at least twice weekly as recommended. It hasn’t held up particularly well to average foot/pet traffic either, with bits of jute and thread pulling in various areas of the rug. I also feel like the wool threads tend to hold on to dirt, even after vacuuming, so it looks kind of dingy already. Not very impressed sadly :( ... show more

It is a beautiful rug, even better than I expected. The wool and jute combination is striking and there are other subtle neutrals in the fabric that make the rug look extremely expensive.
