I needed a rug for a nursery, and I didn’t want to spend a fortune. I’ve had other Safavieh rugs before and liked how they held up, so when I saw this one for a really great price, I grabbed it. I read all the reviews, some of which talk about “color bleeding” or ink dropped on the edges, and I still decided to take a chance. When I unrolled the rug, it was very evident that what some thought was a defect was, in fact, part of the background pattern. The darker “drips” around the edge match the same kind of pattern throughout the cream color on the body of the rug. If you are going to be bothered that it’s not completely solid around the border, you may want to keep scrolling, but I can tell you that everyone who has walked into the room said the rug was beautiful, and no one asked if anything was spilled or defective. With a 1/4” rug pad, it feels nice and thick to walk on or for a baby learning to walk to fall on. It unrolled pretty quickly and started to feel flat within a week or so of just letting it be. One corner edge may not be perfectly straight and square, but for the price I paid for an 8x10 rug, I’m not complaining at all because unless you are really nitpicking it’s not noticeable.

I’m in Love with this rug. It’s even more beautiful than I was hoping it would be. Good weight and thickness, soft and lays flat. I’m using it under my dining room table so I didn’t add a rug gripper. This rug has blues, tan, rust, burgundy, and cream. You won’t be disappointed.

I almost love this rug. Believe me, I looked at a lot of rugs trying to find these colors. I read a lot of reviews and this one seemed to please a lot of people. Yes, there were a few that mentioned some "run-off" lines on the cream border but I figured I might get one without that defect. I didn't. The marks are on two sides of the rug. I called the manufacturer and was told that the stripes are suppose to be there. Hmm, that seems unlikely but since my furniture will cover those sides I'm going to keep it. Great colors, soft and affordable.

We loved the colors and design of this rug. Also, the thickness and softness was excellent. On the white edges of the rug were parts of the design which some purchasers described as "defects." The rug I received did have this look, but was beautiful, and to me it seemed to be part of the normal design. I placed that end of the rug where it was slightly less visible, though that wasn't a necessity. Very pleased and am going to purchase a second rug for my office.

I have been looking forever for a rug that has a dusty teal or green-gray color to it. I thought this would be the one. What was supposed to be teal was actually a bright sky blue/bright turquoise blue. In a previous review from another purchaser, there are two pictures of this rug and you can see the color difference between the advertised "teal" color and the actual bright blue color. I guess the manufacturer's dye lot is different this time around. The rug itself was of average quality. I have purchased a number of Safavieh rugs and have found that most of them have a nap to the look.... When flat on the floor the colors look dark and very rich from one direction, and from the other direction they look very washed out and pale. The rug is pretty thin. If you are not as particular about the color as I am, you might like it a lot. It is so hard to know a rug will work for you until you try it in the actual room with the lighting that is available. For me, the ambiance has to "feel" right..... the colors need to "feel" right, not just look right. I am pretty picky, so if you like the design and and are not fussy about the exact colors, this is a nice rug.

I will start by saying I've purchased a few other Safavieh rugs from Amazon, and for the money I always feel I'm getting a good value. They are various sizes and materials, and they've always come well packaged (rolled up). This rug was the third try for my living room. I LOVE it. The others were not quite right in color, size, pattern etc. This one is absolutely perfect. I live in a third floor walk-up (no elevator), so it's nice to have these giant 9x12 or 8x11 rugs delivered right to my door. Those that didn't work out, I scheduled a UPS pickup for convenience. For those who have written that it has a smell - yes, it's made of polyester people. It says right on the label that it will smell and that it will air out after a few days. Open a window! If you don't want a smell or you're overly senstitive, buy a cotton or wool rug. For those that say it doesn't lie flat - yes, it's been rolled up and vacuum sealed! It says right on the label that it will lie flat after a few days. Someone wrote a review on a 9x12 rug that you should "be prepared to wrestle it into submission". Yes, I agree; I live alone and it was a bit of a struggle to get it into place. It is cumbersome and heavy. Once the wrestling was over, it was well worth the struggle, but call a friend maybe. The rug looks rich and expensive. It goes beautifully with my decor and furniture. The softness is wonderful under bare feet. For the price and the door to door service (and free shipping with Amazon Prime), you really can't go wrong!

It's exactly like it is in the picture. If you pay enough attention to the pictures, there is some strokes of brown on the sides of the carpet. I saw that some people were having fits over it, but I like it plus it adds a little something to the carpet. Great bang for your buck Its so pretty in my office!
