Quality rug, rolled it out of the packaging and it layed flat immediately. Color was like the picture soft to walk on, and at a great price - I ended up ordering a 2nd rug, foldable and looks high end!

This rug is beautiful for our screened in patio. Its got a subtle black and taupe checked pattern that worked perfectly with our new lounge chairs. Its nice underfoot and dries quickly if it gets damp. However, its packaged terribly....which is unusual for this brand. I've bought a lot of styles from them before. First, they put a high adhesive sticker on the front of the carpet. To get it off took multiple scrubs with dish soap and a lot of rinsing. The other weird thing is that they glued down both sides of the bound edge of the carpet. If you look at the one picture, you can see how the black bound edge doesn't continue around the carpet. That's because the sides are folded and hot glued down. So if you pull the glued side apart...which takes some strong fingers and a wasted 30 minutes of time...there is a really pretty taupe and black patterned bound edge. I have no idea why they glued it down because if you don't unglue it, the edge of your carpet will wear badly since its not bound on the sides. I'm assuming they did it because it adds about 2-3 inches of width and it was accidently produced over the advertised size?!? Not sure...however, once you get it undone...this carpet is beautiful and actually very high quality and well made. So if you don't mind a little inconvenience, this is a really nice buy and I'm still glad I bought it. ... show more

All in all I am content with this outdoor rug. I ordered the 12' long runner in tan/black for my patio. The quality for the price is acceptable, the color does a great job at masking dirt & the length is great. However, there are 3 reasons that I deducted 2 stars. First, the rug does not have non-skid backing. Which is an absolute necessity on outdoor rugs. Since this is a runner, it is extremely slippy & does not stay in place. I really wanted to avoid having to use a rug pad or double sided tape. I ended up rolling on 2 coats of white Flex Seal to the bottom of the rug which ended up peeling off. Second, despite the added weight from the folds at each end, the ends are easily flipped over & curl. I tried large adhesive corner tabs for outdoor rugs, but they didn't stay stuck to the rug. Thanks to the dogs, they did stick to the concrete patio. Lastly, I broke down & tried a non skid pad, but as I expected, the rug slipped off the pad. I even tried gluing the pad to the rug by using permanent outdoor spray adhesive, which eventually failed as well. ... show more
