This is a beautiful, high quality rug. I put it under my bed and did not need a rug pad because it lays flat & the pile is very soft & I vacuum it with my stick vacuum with ease. The only drawback would be that it looks dirty in spots but it’s just part of the coloring.. but as someone with 4 pets it also hides dirt well. UPDATE: I called Safavieh and they said some shipping companies (this rug was delivered by UPS) are now requiring a certain size for all packages and the 10 x 14 rugs exceed that size, which is why the rug was folded not rolled. I did leave the rug rolled for 24 hours, then flipped over and rolled the opposite way for 48 hours. There are still some creases, but they are not very noticeable, they should flatten with some time. The rug itself is very nice, looks like the photo, nice coloring, and is very soft. BUT!!!! This 10 x 14 rug came FOLDED!! WHO DOES THAT??? The instructions say to unfold, roll and wait 24-48 hours. That's fine and dandy unless you have company coming over the next day and you would like to be able to use the new rug. There are some pretty deep creases from being folded, which do concern me. I truly don't understand why it was folded. I have ordered many Savavieh rugs, as small as 6' round, and even that rug came rolled. There is a big issue of trying to get out wrinkles from a 10 x 14 rug vs a smaller rug in which you could re-roll the opposite way, etc to get rid of the wrinkles. This is not a small rug that one person can roll, I had to go get my neighbor to help me roll it up. I am hoping that the deep creases will go away... trying to fold this rug back up and get back into the packaging will be an issue, plus the hassle of re-ordering the rug from another seller who does not fold rugs to ship. This rug is sooo wonderful! It’s super soft, cat friendly and non shed. I haven’t tested out the stain resistance yet, thank goodness. I have two cats who regularly claw at it and not a single pull and I’ve had it six months in the living room. The 9 x 12 was simple to put down alone. I also put it on top of a Mohawk 1/4 inch Dual Surface Felt + Rubber Gripper rug pad to protect my new hardwood and to keep the rug in place and it feels very plush and luxurious. It took a maybe a week or so for the carpet folds to come out since it was shipped folded up. I just brought two more of this exact rug for two hallways adjacent to the living room so that just tells you how happy I am with the look and quality. Buying rugs online is not for the faint hearted but this one is a winner for sure! ... show more

Another wonderful rig from this company. They never disappoint me. My whole room looks better now with the muted pop of color this particular pattern gives to the viewer. I have it laying over light beige carpet and with adhesive tape on each corner it does not shift a bit. And the softness and plush feel on bare feet is wonderful.
