I have had 0 shedding, but I have not used the beater on it. Thankfully it does not have a smell, I am sensitive to things like that. My friend has this rug in silver color and I liked it so much I asked where she got it. She told me the silver has a cool, slightly blue, subtle undertone in certain lighting. I took my chances ordering the beige because it would go best with my decor. I knew I loved hers, but I was worried beige would have an orange undertone, as a few of the reviewers uploaded pictures make it appear darker than the seller's photos. Thankfully, mine came accurate to the seller's photos! I hate an orange undertone in a beige, but thankfully it does not have any orange undertone! It is almost more subtle and creamy than in photographs.

Bought the beige/ivory rug. Appears super neutral which is great because there's no orange tones to clash with anything. A few inches shy of being an 8x10 rug, but it actually fit my space better because of this. Beautiful rug, looks very expensive. Not too soft and not too rough...just right. A little smell but not overpowering at all, quickly dissipates after a day or two. A few black threads were used. Most were easy to pull out but one is embedded all the way through so it gives a little gray tone to a spot. Will try to see if I can remove the rest of it later. I took a picture of the spot - the one in which I'm pointing. I tried to post a bunch of pictures so people can actually see the true colors and measurements. When I was looking to buy this rug I was between the silver/ivory and the beige/ivory and bought the beige/ivory. For some reason the beige is so light it kind of appears silver. Which is a bit confusing because the pictures posted from people before me said beige/ivory looked like Amazon's silver/ivory rug. After buying I can confirm that the previous pictures are of the beige/ivory, just like I bought. Would highly recommend the rug to anyone.

I ordered an 8x10 size in this rug, however the rug that I received was only 7'-5" wide, which made a huge difference since it was going under a dining table. It seemed like too much of a hassle to send it back, so I put it in a bedroom instead. It is good quality and pretty, but accurate descriptions and manufacturing are really important- which is why I only gave 3 stars.

This wool rug in the Blue/ivory color is beautiful and feels nice underfoot. It arrived rolled in heavy plastic that helped to protect it from the elements. We had heavy rain the day it was delivered and the rug was nice and dry. There was some curling at the edges and along the folds but all of it laid flat within a day. The rug did have a musty smell when first unrolled but that only lasted a couple of days. It does shed but I think this is natural for wool rugs especially when new. I anticipate less shedding with time because another wool rug I have, same brand, sheds much less now than when I first received it. I haven’t measured the rug since I received it but I did measure the space before I ordered it to make sure it would fit and it seems to fit exactly how it should for the size ordered. I definitely recommend this rug. It’s beautiful, pretty true to matching the colors of the stock photos, and a great value for a wool rug of this size. It also feels nice to walk/sit on and works great for laminate floors when trying to avoid a latex or scratchy back.

This rug has a lovely pattern and is well made. Some reviewers noted strong off gassing, however mine wasn't too bad. I sprinkled baking soda on the rug and that helped. I also VACUUMED the entire rug 6 times...SLOWLY IN DIFFERENT directions. I had to empty the vacuum bin twice each per 6 cleanings. There is ALOT of wool that comes up...WOW! (Thus 4 instead of 5 stars). I hope this doesn't affect the wear of the rug, but I must admit it looks gorgeous. The pattern definitely looked sharper because of all the initial vacuumings (easy to vacuum). I don't know how the rug will wear and about stain resistance, but I had purchased another Safavieh rug several years ago and the quality was great, so I'm expecting similar results. I will update my review later this year. As of this time, I'd definitely purchase from Safavieh again.

This rug is beautiful and high quality. Dinner guests often remark on it. It’s my favorite rug in our house. It does shed slightly at the edges, but it’s not noticeable. I would buy it again in a second.

This rug claims to be 120 x 96 inches but the rug I received is 120 x 92 inches. That is 480 square inches of missing area, which is a little over a square yard. I like the rug, but was disappointed with its misleading description (or insufficient craftsmanship?). Other than that, I find no issues as-is. Product was shipped well and was easy to unpackage with a pair of scissors.
