I’m really impressed with the quality of this rug. It’s much thicker and softer than I expected, which makes it really comfortable to walk on and great for a living room or bedroom. It feels durable and well made, not thin or flimsy like some rugs can be. One thing I really appreciated is that it didn’t have that strong chemical smell that a lot of new rugs come with. I was able to unroll it and use it right away without needing to air it out. It also doesn’t shed, which is a huge plus. Even after vacuuming and normal use, it still looks great and hasn’t left fibers everywhere. Overall it’s a great rug for the price and adds a cozy, polished look to the room. Recommend!! I am so happy with this rug! Love the round shape. It did not smell. And while at first it was not laying so flat, I kind of used my hands to shape and by next day was noticeably flatter and by today, totally flat (see photo). It is soft on the feet and it does look like really high quality. I can’t speak to shedding as I just got it but there is no sign of fly away fibers. The ball shapes are super tightly woven. Very nice rug at an affordable price. Packaged very well. I allowed the rug to “relax” and lay flat for a couple of hours in my garage, before bringing into house. No terribly obnoxious odor that couldn’t be aired out in a reasonable amount of time when unpackaged (typical for natural wool rugs that have been tightly wrapped). I also purchased the 1/2 inch, hardwood friendly, Mohawk rug pad to place under this rug. Soft and comfy under bare feet & I absolutely love the natural look! ... show more

This rug is absolutely beautiful. It looks so expensive and is so plush. It did smell a little when first unrolled but it wasn’t away after an hour or two. The color was exactly as pictured and it fit our guest room perfectly. It is heavy though so I was grateful my husband was able to help me carry it up the stairs. The media could not be loaded. Before buying this, I saw a lot of people in the reviews talking about all of the flaws this rug has. Some were a bit worse, but some were just downright nit picky. For a handmade, mixed fibers rug, you’re not going to get perfect and flawless. I actually like the little differences in the loops. If there was one sticking out too far, I’d request a different one, sure, but I wouldn’t give a negative review. It’s listed as HAND made. Let’s see you do better! Anyways, the rug itself is beautiful. It is VERY soft on the feet, despite the first feel of it on my hands, which felt more rough. My animals love it and have been laying on it a lot, so as far as durability, we will see how it holds up to them over time. That being said it has absolutely zero slip resistance on my hardwood floors — you will need a full size non slip rug gripper if have kids or animals that like to play in that general area. The one thing I’m worried about is cleaning this rug. I bought an ivory rug (which btw, the color is a very true ivory and not too yellow.) So I’m going to have to do some research about the best way to do it, because I’m assuming my upright carpet cleaner will shred the rug. I have a spot vacuum cleaner but I don’t know if I trust that either. Buy the rug and appreciate the boho, handmade, beautiful flaws. ... show more

Soft, thick, very stylish wool rug. It looks great in my bathroom. It lays flat immediately and has some weight to it, unlike polypropylene artificial rugs. All natural no chemicals! It does not slide around when you step on it, since it’s heavy, but it will slide a little if you push it (with no rug pad). It is thick and soft and plush enough to not need a rug pad, but in high traffic areas, to keep it in place, I would probably get one. It is too thick for my door to open over it. That is not an issue for me. I have it out of the way of the door (but I could adjust my door or cut/sand the door to allow clearance. I am happy and will continue to buy more wool rugs.
