Update: Bought a third one for the guest room! Don’t even need a rug gripper. OP: I needed an easy-to-maneuver rug to pull together my den and allow my dog to play without sliding all over the place on the wood floor. I purchased the 7 foot round cream-colored rug along with a rug gripper to put under it. It arrived early in terrific shape in a roll that was easy to unwrap and unroll; the pile is low but soft and had no odor, and it only took about three days for the whole thing to flatten out. It’s easy to vacuum. Best of all, it really lightens up the room. In fact, I bought a second 5’ one for the kitchen. This was also so my dog didn’t slide around but what I like best now is the two rugs look great in adjacent room, drawing your eye from one to another to create harmony. Okay, so I'm torn on this rug. It's a good value, I got a 6x9 for $98. The quality is good enough for this price point, it's on the thin side and there are some crinkles in the middle of the carpet I'm trying to smooth away, but it's soft to walk on (compared to hardwood) and seems well constructed over all. There was a slight smell upon unwrapping it, but by now (next day) it's already dissipated a lot and I don't foresee it being an issue. The thing I'm torn over is the visual effect of the rug. I got the ivory/silver - and it's CLOSE to the pics on the listing, but not exact. And when you're shopping for a large area rug to match your home decor, you want exact. The photos on the listing show it to be a much slighter and more delicate design than real life. Online it looks mostly white/ivory with whisps of silver/gray. In reality, the gray is very prominent, and as other reviews noted, it goes from dense gray on one side to wispier gray on the other. This gradient effect IMO is not highlighted in the product listing and it should be. For some designs/layouts this might work, but for my use (living room rug) it adds a slightly uneven/offsided feel to the room. Lastly - it may be because my last living room was a dark chocolate brown, but I feel very paranoid about getting this rug dirty. It might be in my head, but I've already noticed a couple little dark smudges, so hoping it is not super prone to showing every little bit of dirt. That will make cleaning/maintenance a pain. If it is a huge issue when I do clean it, I'll come back to update this review. Returning a big rug like this would be a hassle, to say the least, so I will probably wind up keeping it. I like the overall aesthetic, I was looking for a light rug to brighten up the space, and it does that - in retrospect, I just may have gone with something a little more subtle/creamier than something with such a stark gray design. ... show more

It also helps both me and my husband (we're in our upper 70s) orient ourselves in the middle of the night when we get up so we can find the bed location without light. The weight and feel of this is nice for the price. It’s softer than I expected. The color was as expected. I would recommend adding a non-slip pad or other things to hold it in place if putting it on a hardwood or tile floor because it does slide around. It doesn’t have any rubber grip on the backing. This is an OK rug for my kitchen; the pattern blends in with my tile floor, and spills clean up pretty well. Nice and soft for feet. But it's very shiny, and the nap shows every footprint between vacuumings.

Quality rug for price point. Colors look really good. Like what we saw/read about the company. Comes rolled and quickly lays out flat. No odor. I do wish it was non-slip, so will need to get pad for underneath. Still, highly recommend. Also, not made in China.
