I have nearly zero issues with this stand as it is stout and well made with what appears to be very good materials. It has a good bite on the tree as long as the tree isn't too large, say 24" in diameter. This platform fits a 12" tree about perfectly as the "vee" with the teeth seems to have a radius for that sized tree. A really large tree gets less bite but this actually isn't much of an issue in most cases. I have found that when you really cinch down the hold down and then fold the platform into place, it gets a good bite no matter what. The one issue you MUST address is the bright aluminum platform itself. It shines like a beacon in the woods for sure. This is not really an issue as a flat/matte finish olive drab paint resolves the problem in less than a minute. But, you MUST address the aluminum's brightness. I now have three of these exact platforms and leave them in the woods for quick and quiet entry. Highly Recommended.

Picked this up for saddle hunting and so far I'm not disappointed. Nice compact platform that doesn't weigh you down. Not as light as some of the carbon platforms but not as expensive either. My larger platform will stay in a tree now and I'll just single stick up to it and I'll use the smaller lighter Camomax with my multiple sticks for a mobile platform. Pretty decent buy as it fits right into the price point of the smaller platforms.

The quality of manufacturing is good, but it's a bit small for me to really be on comfortably. I'll give it some time and see if I can get used to it, but first impression is it could use a couple more inches of space.

It is very heavy duty and still lightweight to carry around to your hunting spot. It is very well made and it is cast aluminum that states it will hold 500lbs, I am 225 and it worked great. Straps are well made and should hold up for a few years, this is easy to setup also and like the different angles because not all trees are straight. The adjustment screw's easy to use and adjust and this only weights 5lbs. Found once you have it set it does resist slipping, really bites into the tree, this is not the best but for the $$ very good unit.
