Most of the costume wings that you find are small, pitiful things that look like colorful nylon stretched over coat hangers or a wing shaped feather pillow turned inside out. When I found these wings I was excited because they were huge and they have a very distinctive shape to them that makes them seem like an integral part of the costume and not an after thought. After receiving the wings I am happy with my purchase. However, I have a few notes for any potential purchasers. Yes, these wings really are as huge as they look in the picture. If I had to guess, I would say they are about three feet tall. I barely reach five feet myself, but just from the width of these wings I found myself sidling through doorways and bumping walls. If you are a tall person wearing these wings... Well, let's just say that these might not be the best costume accessory for parties held in apartments. Also, if you are going to your party venue you will have to transport the wings and put them on after arriving. The wings actually fold in half, one wing overlapping the other, so that is convenient. However, you still have to find someplace to store three feet of wings if you plan to use this costume piece more than once. It's also worth noting that I would not expect this costume piece to last more than three parties, although I might be pleasantly surprised. The item description mentions that the wings are delicate and must be handled carefully. This is a charitable way of saying that the wings are really hundreds of black feathers glued to cardboard cutouts. Now, let's be fair; you really can't tell how the wings are constructed when you are wearing them. They do look amazing. Also, whatever adhesive they used to secure the feathers to the cardboard is nothing short of miraculous because not a single feather fell of in shipping, which is more than I can say for any other store bought costume I've ever owned. Still, the fact that they are cardboard and feathers means that after being bashed against one too many doorways they will crumple and if, like me, you plan on attending an outside Halloween party, you'd better hope it doesn't rain. The last thing I would like to mention is that the shoulder straps that allow you to wear the wings are actually black, at least for the black wings. For some reason I believed that even the black wings would have the generic white elastic, but no, the elastic bands are actually black so they blend pretty well. They also don't have a lot of slack to them, which is great because that means they keep the wings where they are supposed to be and not drooping halfway down your back. The only, minor, issue is that because the wings are so large and the elastic bands are so small it requires a little bit of dexterity to simultaneously hold the wings in place and work your arm through the straps. That being said, once the wings are on they wear comfortably. All told, the wings make me grin like an idiot every time I look at them. So, I would definitely order them again.

I got these wings for my Castiel cosplay for megacon and they were really big and beautiful, I got stopped literally every other person to get a picture or compliment. They overall looked amazing but I still had problems. Some feathers did fall off even a few days before the convention. I was really scared to use them in fear of them falling apart. They were somewhat hard to put on, I had two of my friends hold it while another person pulled the strap to get my arm through (adding up to three people in general with help). All I would not recommend wearing these for MORE THAN TWO HOURS. These things HURT! I wore them for SEVEN HOURS and trust me they HURT SO MUCH!!! I was in agony when I got to my hotel room and the next few days my back and shoulders were sore. The black paint on the wings had also rubbed off onto my tan trench coat (but I got it out using Shout). Also, I couldn't walk through doors or in crowds normally, I had to side shuffle, I also hit people with my wings because they were so big. Overall they were really pretty and looked amazing with my cosplay.

These wings were really really great for my halloween costume! Looked super cool and scary. The feathers fall out a lot, which can make a mess but doesn’t really affect the appearance. It’s also a little pricey, but it’s way higher quality than cheaper options for this type of wing. Would recommend if you’re really going for an over the top look.

I loooove these wings. They were perfect for my costume (i was a fallen angel) I got compliments whole evening. Lost a few feathers but that's expected. The straps were a little tight (plus size) but I am very happy about this purchase. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

These were very pretty, and I expected the quality to be lacking due to the reviews, but it's much worse than the reviews led on. I had to spend so much time repairing and replacing the feathers and adding dowels to make the wings more sturdy. They are very flimsy and I had to reinforce every feather. Very cheaply made while not even being cheaply priced. I definitely wouldn't recommend if you want to wear them as is, they require work. And for the price, to me at least, it definitely wasn't worth the cost. I wanted to give them more of a chance since they do look lovely, but the quality was exceptionally poor. They also arrived loosely placed in a giant box with nothing securing them in placed, no wrapping or anything.

I was so excited to use these in a Cosplay I have been planning but when they arrived, feathers were falling off! After gluing them back on and thinking it was alright, the elastic shoulder straps broke after about an hour of wear, more feathers fell off, and the board that was used to mount it all in was flimsy and did not hold its shape. Horrible and NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

A Little more feather coverage would have been nice and they do fall out a bit easily, but over all very nice effect. But be carefull not to put somebodies eyes out every time you turn around ;)

Bought these for my daughter for her Halloween costume. These wings are incredible. My daughter is only 7 and these may have been a little to sophisticated for her but she reviewed so many comments on them I lost track. The size is large perfect for an adult and the detail is incredible. They look like real wings.
