I have grown tired of the little yellow box and saw so I bought this to replace it. It is big enough to cut a two by four but precise enough to do compound angle cuts on small trim. I think its a good value for the money

75 yr old lady here, my first miter saw. Read the entire manual and started experimenting with the saw. I love it! After one afternoon I feel like a pro with cross cuts, miter cuts and bevel cuts. Am now in the process of replacing the old MDF molding in my basement with hemlock. Easy peasy with this little Ryobi. This saw makes clean cuts and is simple to use, even though the manual makes it sound like it's easy to kill yourself if you're not careful., LOL. ... show more

lightweight, sturdy, and well made saw. Blade changing can be tricky so just make sure you have the appropriate size allens and go slow. Extra buttons to lock are a good safety feature. Saw does not take up too much space. Overall great for home projects

    • Good but angle sticker already coming off
This saw worked great and was a good bargain. My only dislike is that after using for a weekend the sticker showing the angle of the cut was already coming off. Nice for more sensitive outlets as it uses less amps then larger miter saws.

This is just what I wanted. Low price, seems to cut cleanly (so far). It cuts 2x4's just fine. The shop in my detached garage only has a single 15 amp circuit. The 9 amp motor suits this set-up.
