  • Convenient and easy to use, and Quiet.
I should’ve had one of these before my first car build, save time, money and frustration making cuts with 4 1/2” death wheels is no fun, and occasionally dangerous.

  • Pleasantly Surprised
At first this saw had me frustrated with the blade frequently popping off, to the point that I was wondering if this purchase was a mistake. After some trial and error I believe the problems I was having were my fault - in my case, blade twisting (steering the cut too aggressively) and not making use of the work stop. After refining my technique this saw turned out to be a smooth performer, to the point where I was able to do one or two one-handed cuts (not sure that is a good idea though). I'm not a fan of the open design of the blade housing, but as I was learning what not to do it made reinstalling the blade a bit easier. It's worth repeating what others have said about the small cut capacity, but it's as wide as the Dewalt that sells for twice as much, and to go wider with a name brand prices are close to triple. Can't blame my learning curve on the tool - this is the first handheld band saw I've used. It appealed to me because I already have a collection of Ryobi tools and I don't want multiple battery systems to juggle. But, apart from that, I'm happy with the tool for what it is, not just the batteries that power it. ... show more

  • Nice tool
I have wanted one of these for years. I always have used a hack saw. Recently I had a lot metal cutting. This little saw was awesome, made quick work and didn’t break the bank to purchase it.

  • Works well
Great for cutting bolts and pipe.

  • Why didn't I buy this sooner!
If you're invested in this battery system (or like me HEAVILY invested), you can't go wrong with this portable band saw. It doesn't have a super huge cutting capacity, but for most little projects, it a great tool! So far I've cut water pipe, exhaust pipe and 1/4" (2X2) angle iron. I did order some extra blades with different teeth counts, but the included blade has done a great job so far. I really wish I had purchased this sooner. It's really starting to help out around the homestead. Overall thoughts: I sort of wish it had a cover on the back side over the blade, but this seems to be a common issue with this type of tool. Just be careful holding on to it. But if this one dies, I'll definitely buy another one! ... show more

  • Great Light Duty Hand Held Band Saw
As advertised. Any comments about its weight, the blade coming off, etc., are due to improper use, unrealistic expectations and an inexperienced operator of power tools. This is a great light duty band saw. I received mine two days ago. After changing the included saw blade to a 14T, I just cut a 2" dia aluminum round and five 1" x 1" mild steel bar stock, without any issues. ... show more
