stay far away from this unit unless you want everything to parish... I purchased this incubator with high hopes on affordability, based on the advertised features and positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. First and foremost, the temperature control is inconsistent. Despite setting the recommended range, the internal temperature fluctuated by several degrees throughout the day. This lack of stability severely impacted the hatch rate, with several embryos failing to develop properly. I verified the readings with an external thermometer and found significant discrepancies, which is unacceptable for an incubator. The incubator will randomly on its own just decide what temperature it wants to go to. For this reason it has failed to maintain desired temps. On multiple occasions it will just jump 10 degrees in any direction and start overheating or over cooling the unit. at one point it said it was 63 degrees Celsius and just continued to pump cold air into the chamber. Overall, I cannot recommend this incubator to anyone serious about hatching eggs. Consistency and reliability are critical in incubation, and this product falls short on both counts.

It works, I've already hatched one egg. The drawback is that there is no way to control the humidity in it. U can add water on the bottom tray if u need more humidity, but u can't control it. I found that the water tray can be very messy when removing. U can't help but spill the water everywhere trying to take it out. I ended up just using the damp vermiculite the eggs are sitting in to have humidty, and didn't use the water tray, but my humidity has been pretty high the whole time even after removing the water tray. The door handle seems a bit flimsy also. It works and closes, but I kind of feel like it might break anytime. It looks exactly as described, and they don't tell u that u can control the humidity in the description, so it's not falsely advertised. But if u absolutely need to control it, know that u can't before purchasing. However, I did hatch an egg already so it works. I have 7 more eggs that I believe will hatch any day now.

Purchased two. One for my son who raises chameleons and one for the husband who raises green geckos. Temperature stays spot on. Humidity level maintains great. If you are someone who wants to raise repitiles, this incubator is for you!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Purchased as an option when incubating my chameleon eggs vs other methods. I used a digital thermometer/humidity gauge for a week to double check. It's been great, holding temperature and humidity. I appreciate the AC/DC option as we are in Florida and can take the incubator with us and use the alternative power source if we have to evacuate. Had our first chameleon hatch and am ordering a second incubator.

While it works, it heats and cools. But this unit died exactly 1 year after I bought it. The previous unit lasted a little longer but also died. The cooling function fails first. I did have it in continuous use. But I’d rather have one good unit that lasts even if I have to pay more.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: After posting this review, the company offered a replacement which we were happy to receive. We use this to warm IV fluid bags for surgeries. Hoping this one will last longer than a year. This product worked great for 11 months but now just beeps really loud with flashing lights. There is no product support from the seller. They tell you that it’s up to Amazon to refund for the product. No troubleshooting or repair options offered. Too bad as we really liked this product to warm IV fluids for our pet patients.
