I ordered grey and I really like the color. I find it is thick enough so no one can see in at night, which is why I was looking for a curtain with a backing. It makes the kitchen dark even in daylight, but a little light, I think very little, comes in around the edge. I did not want to drill holes so I hung on a tension rod. Not as tight maybe as if drilled in and it is also hangs down over the marble window sill so not tight fit. This is my choice because blackout was not my goal. To me even if I wanted a blackout curtain this would work just fine. Love the looks, the material is nice looking and the amount of privacy it provides is great. We recently had the windows replaced at our house and I got tired of seeing the old curtains with the single-layer room darkening fabric. Moreover, we had those dreadful pleated curtains with malfunctioning drawstring cords .... so I ordered these and new curtains rods. The new curtains feel nice and are double-layered fabric so the outward and inward sides look the same. I hung the curtains a little higher than the previous ones but some light, surpringly, still comes in over the tops. I love these curtains. They keep the room cooler by blocking the sun but the sheers let a little light in. When I opened the package there was one crease in the fold area but it was so small and by having the curtains full like this the crease didn't show. I hate to iron that's obvious. These are super soft and silky feeling and I love the ease of putting up gromett curtains. All in all I'm very pleased with this purchase. One wall has the 63" and the other wall has the 36 " They are nicely made. They wash and dry and hang right up no wrinkles . ... show more
