    • Super Simple to install and very bright

The media could not be loaded. I bought these for my chicken coop to light it up and make it easier for me to see it from my house at night. Installation was super simple, connecting all the strands together was very simple as well. Was able to fully install the lights in about 30 mins. 100ft was perfect size to fit around the entirety of my chicken coop. I had fun playing around with the different color light settings and connection to my phone was wonderful, as it makes turning off and on the lights from the house simple and easy. The distance to turn off and on the lights and change the colors and the settings is about 10 feet, so I do have to be relatively close to the coop but can change the settings from my back porch. These haven't been up in any type of bad weather, will update after a while on the integrity of the lights. So far so good. UPDATE: Just recently went through a bout of rain and in the evening I went to put my chickens up. I noticed that portions of the lights had loosened and the adhesive was not adhering to the beams. I had to order extra clips to secure the strip back to the coop. The adhesive does not adhere well to wooden structures that experience moisture. ... show more

I like it that it's using single power supply to power the entire 4x25ft (100ft) LED Strips, quite bright and with much improved waterproofing (with screw-on cap) on the male/female connectors part but not in the power adaptor part. Down side is that it does not do chasing effects (my priority) as it uses DuoCo strip (not stripX), probably based on its chipset or LED type. The adhesive is not very strong. I recommend using a small strip of weatherproof/cold weather 3M tape on every couple feet. I wish it were wifi version, but since I don't use it that often except holidays, it doesn't matter. All in all, I am satisfied with it considering the price. ... show more

These RGB strip lights come in 4x sets of 25ft spools that are joined to the power adapter by a 'Y' male/female connector that has a screw together coupling for weather resistance. The individual spools should make installation easier to measure-out versus if it was 1x large spool to manage while installing. The remote has several pre-sets for colors and each can be tweaked to 'mix' a color by selecting one of the R,G,B, buttons then selecting one of the color buttons below them. This uses the base color and sort of adds in the selected color. For example, if you wanted the closest color to a warm orange tone, I pressed the 'R' button then the yellow below that. Then you can adjust the results brighter or dimmer using the two buttons with the sun icon. (You can see this in the video around the 57 second mark.) I did run into an issue (also in the video) using the #2  music-mode buttons on the remote. Whereas the option #1 button puts the lights into a blending mode, it didn't really respond to the music. It kept the same pattern when the music stopped. And #2  music buttons actually just turned off my light set? I am not sure if that is by design or an issue with my set of lights or remote. The microphone that I assume picks up the audio is on the 'Y' connector near the plug, so if your music source is not close by, the audio does get heard I assume. I tested this by turning the music up loud and still the number 2 & 3 buttons did not respond to music. UPDATE NOTE: The App is required in order to change the input type for the music. Either phone mic or the External Mic on the lights. If you enable the External Mic option, you get 4 different music/light sync types. (See the last photo I added.) Overall, this is a good set of lights, even though I cannot comment on reliability, you do get 100ft of lights nicely separated in 25ft lengths. I would have liked to see an option to control the sections colors independently, but that is not possible. Finally, in order to configure additional colors not on the remote and also to take advantage of music modes you will definitely need the app for all the extra features. Final note that the company offers excellent customer service and was in contact with me when I ran into an issue with the audio sync and coordinate to resolve my issue in a professional and timely manner. ... show more
