  • Great Budget GPU!
I bought this and at first I believe it was Amazons part that had to return it to sender, but I re-ordered another one that did come! Beware though it does not come with the necessary PCIE/PSU power cable or any cables for that matter you will need to buy your own 6pin to 8 pin cord if you do buy this buttt yeah I realize that after I installed it into my computer luckily though, Amazon sells a 9.99 corsair one that usually can come for the next day delivery and fortunately that came today and I currently have everything plugged in and running and right now I am installing the necessary drivers to get the GPU working , a little pamphlet that the GPU comes with, is super easy to read, and understand, and at the end at practically tells you to just go to amd or nvidia.com, and download the necessary driver, so that’s what I did and I’m currently typing this while I’m waiting for it to install and I will report what happens shortly. Edit: it worked perfectly no flowers at all. Just don’t forget to install the driver which any graphics card needs not just this one. Also, don’t pay attention to any of the bad reviews those are almost 100% user error because that person doesn’t know how to build a PC and taking their anger out in the review section. This is a phenomenal budget GPU and I would recommend it to anyone. ... show more

  • Easy to Install with Stable Drivers
Installation was a breeze. I simply plugged the RX 580 into my PC, installed the latest drivers from AMD’s website, and was good to go. The card has been pretty stable in terms of performance since the initial setup. I haven’t run into any major issues with crashes or glitches, which is a relief. The drivers are updated regularly, and the Radeon Software utility makes it easy to tweak settings and monitor performance. ... show more

amd app does not work with video card.

  • Works under windows and linux
This is a decent starter video card. Keep in mind that this chipset was originally released around 2018, so it is starting to show its age. I have installed in under both Linux and Windows 11 and it worked without any issues. AMD does not support any new release drivers for this, but it still works fine with the old ones. My only issue is that this requires the 6-pin PCI/E connector, and one of my machines did not have this power plug, but the other did. There are no cables or adapters included, so make sure your PSU can support this before you purchase or find the cables you need to convert from 8-pin to 6-pin. I would say at this price point, it is still a bit high for such old tech, and I might suggest spending a little more on a newer card. ... show more

  • Decent budget card for 1080p Low or for older/indie games
The RX580 is an older card from AMD at this point and it’s not really suitable for playing the newer AAA titles which are graphically demanding, but it could be a decent affordable option for people who just want to play games from 5 years ago or earlier (basically last gen console ports and maybe some cross-gen titles). It does have 8GB of VRAM, which makes it still pretty useful as long as you keep your expectations in check. This will play some modern games at low/medium settings at 1080p 30fps. This particular model seems well made with dual axial fans and a cool keyboard-themed shroud. It has a single DisplayPort, single HDMI, and single DVI connectors for hooking up to your monitor. This MLLSE brand is lesser known, but this card seems to work fine for me after testing numerous games at 1080p. I would recommend this for a budget build paired with a Ryzen 3000 or 5000 processor like the 3600 or 5600. It’s a decent entry point to get into PC gaming without spending a fortune (which is very easy to do now). ... show more
