This does a good job of keeping the majority of sunlight off our windows but does allow some light through which is nice. I did remove 1 star because it comes with the cheapest no good stakes to stake it down with. I upgraded and bought better ones to make sure it works better in our situation here in Arizona

Being new to the RV world, I was hesitant to purchase this with only a few reviews. I am THRILLED with this screen! We are using our friends RV for a few months, and we decided to spend the money on this screen for privacy and shade from the FL summer sun. It takes no time to set up...maybe 5-10 minutes. The accessories to tie down the screen are super easy to install. The fact that the screen rolls up for ventilation, but can be unrolled for shade, is awesome. It's durable quality and our friends were shocked that it was less than $130 for a 21 foot screen.

We just replaced the awning on our RV, and thought this would be a nice addition. With the Florida heat here, and many RV parks and campgrounds with little to no shade, this was almost a must have. We recently had our RV at a campground for 2 weeks. The first week was blazing hot, with no shade, and we didn't have this item yet. The second week was hot again, but then this awning shade arrived, so we installed it the first chance we had. It was so much easier than I thought it would be. Just slide it into the groove on the awning bar, then secure it to the tent pegs that come with it, along with the bungie cords that easily fit into the grommets. It actually made a HUGE difference in keeping the RV cooler, and we were more able to sit outside without getting too hot. The screen is quite big too, so it we were able to roll up and secure the cover when we wanted a little more of a breeze. When we were breaking down the camper at the end of the trip, this shade slide right out, we folded it up, and squeezed it into the provided storage bag. It is a heavier material like the awning, and should do well with the weather. Even though this awning shade looks yellowish in the photos, it really looked more white, and was actually very close to our white awning. A little on the pricey side but worth it to keep our RV cooler.

This RV awning shade does it's job of blocking the sun and provides great privacy from the view of other campers. The awning is made well. The material is sturdy and the stitching is consistent. We find it very easy to install, just put it into the channel on the awning and slide it down. It took us mere seconds to install. We really like that there is a large window panel that can be rolled up to allow light and ventilation in while continuing to provide shade and some privacy (the tightness of the weave of the screen material makes it harder to see in), or be left down to deter rain, moisture or mist. I also like that the material this is made with is UV blocking. We really like that it comes with a storage bag so it's not just floating around the trailer when not in use. This kit does include bungees and stakes. I do wish there were more color options available. It's just beige and black at this point. I would have liked white or gray, buts that just my preference.

Wow!! I was not expecting to love this item as much as I did. This is such a game changer for me when camping. It provides another level of shade, rain protection, and wind protection. I highly recommend this. Please see below for the highlights: Pros: - Easy to set-up. I was not expecting it to be as easy as it sounded but it was just that. Slide the cord into the guide on your awning and then stake it down, it is literally that easy. I hung it by myself the first time in 5 min. - Provides excellent sun, rain, and wind protection. I like that you can roll open the side to let the breeze blow through - Build quality seem to be top notch. It is fairly heavy so it won't tear in the wind. It also has good stitching along the seams. The only quality piece I would have improved on is metal stakes instead of plastic for the tie downs. - Easy to fold and to store in it's own bag that is provided. Cons: - None
