I have a 9ft. awning that is 7 years old and starting to wear at the front edge when rolled up. I felt the price was a bit high for plastic tubes, but cheaper than replacing the awning, which still has life in it. I watched the videos, but was still concerned at the effort needed to get the cover on the awning. You are up on a ladder and do need a good degree of hand strength to get them on. They did not come off as I opened the awning. I had to get back on the ladder and remove them. So, they serve the purpose of protecting the awning but be aware that there is effort needed to get them on. ... show more

    • Difficult to install
The awning cover does protect the awning but it is difficult to install and equally difficult to remove. I ordered the cover for a 12' awning and the three pieces will cover the awning completely but only allow about a 1" overlap.

A little difficult to install the first time, but from then on they are a breeze. They keep your awning cover out of direct sunlight.

A good product, but it still allows water to accumulate on the awning and when rolled out the awning can be dirty and spotted with mildew and possibly mold. When travelling, it is a great idea as it protects the awning from road dust, stones and damage.
