We use this to fix leaks on our wood stove as recommended by the shop we bought our stove from many years ago. We cleanup best we can, then squirt this stuff into the seam to fill in the gaps. Then let it cure per directions on the package. The liquid texture is great for small gaps down low, but a huge pain for top outside gaps where it drips all over the place. I just pulled out a tube I bought over 5 years ago and it dried into a paste. I ended up having to slit open the tube to scoop it out, and use my fingers to spread it into the gap. I wish they sold this in a spreadable paste since this semi dried up version was far easier to work with. I hope this old stuff sets and holds! ... show more

Worked good to seal wood stove .

The back of the stove is bent like the metal was put together with a piece tha was damaged and cut wrong. The welds look like a 5 yr old did them. Paid decent money. Very satisfied with the quality of the metal. And the design. Very heavy duty stove pipe, minus the piece with the flue in it. 4 pieces of pipe , not 5 . Well I like it, but this is not OK.

I received the tube today and did get the gasket on but not without much effort. The product was not consistent throughout the tube. I would have one spot of the material dry and almost impossible to get out of the tube then 3 inches would squirt out to the next dry spot.

This brand of stove gasket cement is all I'll buy. Works perfectly everytime. Only complaint is once you open it and use it you might as well throw it in the trash cause it doesn't store well..... just like a tube of caulk.
