Nice wood picture frame. Took one star off because the back had cracked splintered wood that I had to glue back together. Can hang vertical or horizontal. I like the back pieces that are raised so that you can easily slide the back piece securely onto the picture frame.

It's totally possible that I just got the one bunk-quality frame from these guys, but regardless I'm incredibly disappointed in this purchase. When I opened the box, I could see a piece had completely fallen off of the frame (picture one is the piece and the area it came off from). I considered just gluing it back on and keeping the frame, but when I tried to fit the broken piece back into its spot I (1) realized how soft and fragile the wood in actually is despite the seeming sturdiness of the surface, and (2) the piece wouldn't go back on because of some metal hardware that (presumably) broke the piece off in the first place. Additionally, fitting the piece back into is slot was super hard just because it felt like I was working with shredded balsa wood. At this point I hadn't even taken the frame out of the box because I was still waffling back and forth between returning it and trying to fix it a seemingly surface-level issue, and I didn't want to mess up the packaging in case I returned it because it was so big (I ordered the 20x30 and I'm small). But at this point I decided to check out the back just in case. LO AND BEHOLD! The glass and mount board had COMPLETELY fallen out of the frame! They were chilling in the bottom of the box. I was like huh, weird way to package your frame, so even though the data's all pointing to this being a busted set, let me at least try fitting all that into the frame in case this is the one frame company in the world that packages their frames in multiple pieces so you get the opportunity to play puzzle with your new product. Nope, benefit of the doubt was the wrong move. Turns out that metal hardware that would secure the glass and mount board had (probably because of how soft the wood was) completely busted the frame such that everything fell out. It seemed pretty logical at this point that the front of the frame got busted up due to these metal pieces putting too much pressure onto the fragile wood. So it clearly wasn't salvageable on a superficial level because the basic structure was all FUBAR. I tried to get pictures of this but it was really hard to capture, so I just took a picture of the glass/backing at the bottom and the way the back looked. I would say that joke's on me for buying a $60 frame on Amazon and hoping it would be good, but I've purchased plenty of satisfactory frames off the 'Zon and it's been fine, if not custom-frame quality (which I don't expect, of course). I think the worst part for me is that, had the frame not been broken when I received it, I would have put this up on the wall in my bathroom. Had the same structural malfunction happened when it was already on the wall, there's a chance it could have fallen on one of my elementary-school-aged kids when they're doing their business, and that would mega suck for obvious reasons. So anyway. I want to give one piece of positive feedback on this item, which was that they clearly used real glass for the frame. Compared to some other frames I've gotten where it's just cheap acrylic, that was nice—but also obviously part of the problem, since the glass was clearly way too much weight and density for the wood to handle. So I'm off to Whole Foods to return this and keep searching for something better. Hope this helps someone else.
