  • Great struts!

  • Rides like new

Excellent quality and easy to install. 4 months past and rides like new.

  • Exact fit
Style: SCA43431
These were purchased to replace the rear struts on a 2006 Lexus GS300 with 149,500 miles. I wanted a preassembled unit because I didn't want to risk removing the original spring. The fit was perfect. The annoying thump going over bumps is gone now. These were delivered yesterday and I completed the installation today so I can't speak on longevity. If they fail sooner than I feel is acceptable I will update this review. ... show more

  • GO WITH KYB! A mechanic warned me!
Style: SCA57203
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I thought that because this had 1200 reviews they'd be good even though they're cheap, NOPE WRONG BIG TIME. Any little road disturbance has my suv feeling like a 1960's jeep you hear all the vibration like a car with no damn suspension. Ride quality: On smooth road you can tell it's fixed but any and all little grievances of the road which most roads have it will immediately bang the car with massive vibration underneath. I honestly wish I could get my money back but this cost me a lot to have these installed. I'm going to have to suffer with these for another year. I've had a positive experience with other TRQ parts in the past so I thought this wouldn't matter but my mechanic warned me, he said never go cheap on a Quick strut, KYB is the only one that would mimic an OEM. ... show more

  • Better Than It Was
Style: SKA42939
So, I bought these shocks because they were cheap and preloaded, so it was easier to install the front struts than without the springs compressed already. They work well enough and I read that it takes 1000 miles for shocks to truly break in and all I have now is 200 miles on them so hopefully they will get even better. As it is now the truck seems a little wonkier than it was, but it does make going over the potholes less traumatic. The Tacoma isn't getting beat to death going over bumps like it was. My problem is that when I go over the bumps I am always wondering what it would be like with a set of those $1200 shocks on the truck instead of these basement price shocks. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase. It seems to me that the Chinese are upping their level of quality when it comes to manufacturing products just like Japan and Taiwan did in the past... If they turn into crap I will write another review and give you guys the heads-up. ... show more

  • Fit perfectly. Easy to install after watching TRQ install video on youtube
Style: SKA60988
The shocks seem well made and were heavier and more robust than the original. The struts were also solidly constructed. Shocks and struts fit perfectly and it took me about 3 hours to replace all 4 components. Getting the 2 bolt pins out was the hardest part, the video makes it look easy but those things are stuck in there good. I soaked them in penetrating oil and put the nuts back on the end of the bolts to protect the thread and hit them squarely with a hammer to pop them loose. Using a second jack to raise things up was helpful to get it aligned to slip the pins back into the holes. ... show more

  • Smooth ride returned to 2018 Equinox Premier
Style: SKA73587
Installing front struts was completed without any issues. Rear shocks include a stainless steel nylon lock nut and just the shock. You have to remove the retaining fixture from the old rear shock to bolt the shock to the frame. I have an air impact wrench which I used to remove the nut from the top of the old shock. Instructions are lacking on this point. You might think you have the wrong shock when first comparing old and new shock. I did a lot of research before purchasing the TRQ strut and shock absorber kit. I looked for KYB initially but they do not make shocks and struts for the Equinox. I have used Monroe in the past also. I decided to purchase the TRQ kit which arrived 2 days after order placed. My wife texted me this morning that the smooth ride had returned to our Equinox. She is the primary driver of the vehicle. There are a number of negative reviews and I must say that I am happy with the purchase. ... show more
